4.0 out of 5 stars Enormous variety and great value!, January 24, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Triple J Hottest 100 5 (Audio CD)
This is possibly the best instalment of the "Triple J Hottest 100" collection. It has a large variety of songs from the soft, easy-going tunes of the Whitlams with "No Aphrodisiac" to the heavy notes of bands such as Grinspoon with "DCx3". I recommend this CD to anyone, including you Americans out there! This CD comes with a cool multimedia function that allows you to install a "Triple J Screen Saver" onto your computer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Top music from top bands, June 11, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Triple J Hottest 100 5 (Audio CD)
I heard this album whilst travelling in Australia and it has to be one of my favourite albums of all. Great tunes and great variety - something to suit everyone and something to blow everyone away. With tracks from Blink 182 and The Living End you can't go wrong. Australian music rules. I only wish Britain had such a great radio station as Triple J. Keep up the good work!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best ever release from the j's, December 9, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Triple J Hottest 100 5 (Audio CD)
This is, in my opinioin, the best ever release from the best radio station in Australia, Triple J, and has a huge mix of sounds; heavy, slowy, dance, punk and ska, from Australian and internation acts such as The Living End, Regurgitator, The Whitlams, Marilon Manson, The Foo Fighters and Blur. With the double cd set it's a must buy!!!

Triple J's Hottest 100: Volume five rocks! "No Aphrodiac" by `The Whitlams', "Song 2" by `Blur', "Dammit" by `Blink 182', "Leaving Home" by `Jebediah', "Freak" by `Silverchair', "Prisoner of Society" by `The Living End', "Everyday Formula" by `Regurgitator', "Monkey Wrench" by `Foo Fighters', "Calypso" by `Spiderbait', "The Perfect Drug" by `Nine Inch Nails', "Lakini's Juice" by `Live', "DCX3" by `Grinspoon', "Semi Charmed Life" by `Three Eye Blind' and "Fire Water Burn" by `The Bloodhound Gang' are really cool songs. A great CD full of alternative, rock, hard rock, metal and hardcore songs. Great CD!

Triple J does it again. I own all the Hottest 100 CD's and they just keep getting better and better. Definitely looking forward to Volume 6.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfection on a compilation CD, October 6, 2000
This review is from: Triple J Hottest 100 5 (Audio CD)
This is easily the most consistently excellent Hottest 100 compilation ever. The more recent volumes 6 and 7 are disappointing. However this one is crammed full of great songs!!! From no 1 to the end its almost perfect. No Aphrodisiac, Paranoid Android, Bittersweet Symphony, The Beautiful People, Into My Arms, Down Again, Semi Charmed Life...this is full of classic alternative tracks

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Listening, November 7, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Triple J Hottest 100 5 (Audio CD)
This is a great CD, with appeal to many listeners. Some like the slower, easier tracks (No Aphrodisiac by The Whitlams), some like the heavy stuff (The Beautiful People by Marilyn Manson). Whatever your taste in music, you're sure to find something to please!

5.0 out of 5 stars It has the living end, December 20, 1998
This review is from: Triple J Hottest 100 5 (Audio CD)
This Cd has to be good with The Living End on it. Once again Triple J throws fantastic music at us. It's a CD that keeps you going with a song for every mood. It never leaves my stereo. Love it.
