5.0 out of 5 stars Works great! Does exactly what I need it to do. March 5, 2013

I'm working on several short skits and eventually a feature length film using my iPad Mini as a camera, so this is exactly what I needed. The packaging is decieving, when I got it in the mail I thought "There's no way this tiny package has a mount in it," but it does! It works for the iPad Mini, as well as several other similarly sized tablets. I have an Otterbox Defender Case on my iPad Mini, and the clamps stretch out to it just fine-- which was something I was initially worried about when I first set it up. You need to mix and match the attachable clamps to the mount accordingly. It fits great on my tripod and monopod. So if you're looking for a great iPad Mini/tablet mount for your tripod or monopod, get this one! I'll definitely be ordering another one of these for my monopod.

4.0 out of 5 stars Working good for me March 1, 2013
Verified Purchase
Bought it to use my iPad mini to take video. Using on a tripod and unipod. Took me a bit to figure out assembling it and that the points on the bracket stretch to hold my iPad. I thought that it seemed like it was just a cheap plastic holder but it has held my iPad firmly and I've used it several times with great results.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not so great for iPad mini in a protective case June 26, 2013
Verified Purchase
I have my iPad mini in an Otterbox case for protection. While this mount did expand enough to attach to the case, it didn't hold well once I got it on the tripod. Because I want to use this for photos on my hiking adventures, this was not stable enough. I ended up selling it to a friend who is using it with his iPhone. If you want something more stable to use with an Otterbox case, try this product: Caddie Buddy. Hope this is helpful for you.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great with a few annoyances. March 29, 2013

The mount does exactly what it advertises. It holds my Nexus 7 tablet perfectly in a tripod. The annoyance is the arms that hold the tablet in place slip out easily and if you lose one of them you're out of luck.

I remedied this by taping the mounts with electric tape, but it is most definitely not elegant.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works well! December 4, 2013
By Michael

It is not exactly what I expected, but it does work, and it was inexpensive.

I like that I can use either my iPhone or iPad mini to record, not that I carry around a tripod and mount without the anticipation of using my iPhone over my iPad.

I have a smart cover on my iPad and it kind of works with it, but I just pop my iPad out and use it that way. I think if you have a case that does not have a cover you will not have any issues.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not very strong August 6, 2013

Very light weight plastic. It works but I'm not very confident
that a bump or strong wind would dislodge it and you would be
out one Ipad

Would be great if you could adjust the depth of the threaded portion for cameras/camcorders/brackets that have shallow threaded sockets. this would keep you from puncturing the bottom of the device and still tighten it reliably. Overall it's a good product...

1.0 out of 5 stars Would not recommend this purchase. July 10, 2014
By Carmen
The mounts we purchased do not hold the iPads in to place securely enough to be bothered with. I guess you do get what you pay for sometimes. We also purchased several of the iPad cases and I so wish we hadn't, but hind sight is 20/20. So do yourself a favor. If you are serious about using your iPad or mini for video or camera use with a tripod. Get the iOgrapher Mobile Media Case....they are well worth the money and you don 't have to worry about losing your iPad on the ground while filming.

It works, but that's about all I can say for it. It doesn't seem to want to hold my iPad mini very level, and one of the little clamp doohickies sits loosely whereas the others... Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Worth the money.
Not the sturdiest mount but it gets the job done and for the price, it really can't be beat. Just make sure that the clamps are tight to the tablet or it will fall out.
