Power problems—including blackouts, brownouts, power surges and line noise—threaten your investment! They can damage or destroy PCs and other expensive equipment, wipe out valuable data and files, and degrade component performance. Get protected against these all-too-common power threats with Tripp Lite's AVR750U desktop UPS system. It provides reliable battery backup that can keep a basic desktop PC operational for up to 35 minutes during blackouts. Automatic voltage regulation (AVR) corrects low-voltage conditions (brownouts) and overvoltages back to safe 120V power without draining the UPS battery. Surge suppression and EMI/RFI line noise filtering prevent hardware damage and performance problems such as poor-quality audio and video output.
The AVR750U's 750VA/450-watt power rating provides ample capacity for a wide range of home and office PC setups, workstations, point-of-sale systems and more. It features 6 battery-supported AC outlets for computer, monitor and other vital system peripherals, plus 6 surge suppression-only outlets for accessories not requiring battery support. One set of tel/DSL (RJ11) jacks protects connected equipment on a tel/DSL line. One USB communication port plus free PowerAlert software (available via Web download) enables unattended system shutdown and file saves in case of a prolonged power failure. The AVR750U comes with $100,000 Ultimate Lifetime Insurance coverage for connected equipment (USA/Canada only) and a 3-year product warranty.

With reliable battery backup, automatic voltage regulation, surge suppression, line noise filtering, tel/DSL jacks and an HID-compliant USB port, the AVR750U offers a complete power protection solution for a wide range of home and office electronics. The AVR750U features a split-outlet design with 12 total AC outlets: 6 to provide battery backup support and surge protection for computers, monitors and other critical components; 6 to provide surge protection only for peripherals such as printers and scanners that do not need battery backup.
AVR protects your equipment from incremental hardware damage, data loss and performance problems that can be caused by low-voltage conditions (brownouts) and overvoltages. The AVR750U automatically corrects brownouts as low as 83V and overvoltages as high as 147V back to 120V without drawing on battery backup power that may be needed to support your equipment during a blackout.
98% efficiency saves energy, lowering your electric bill and reducing your carbon footprint. High-efficiency models also consume fewer resources during manufacture and distribution.
UPS battery backup support enables you to work through short power failures, and provides time to save files and perform an orderly system shutdown in case of a prolonged blackout. The AVR750U features an internal battery that provides 3 min. of battery support for a full load (450 watts), 10 min. for a half load (225 watts) or 35 min. for a basic desktop PC. During normal operation, incoming utility power keeps the UPS battery fully charged so that backup power will always be available when needed.
A sudden power surge or spike can damage or destroy electronic components and wipe out irreplaceable data. The AVR750U features built-in surge suppression to protect all connected components and the data they contain.
Various electromagnetic and radio sources can cause disruptive interference on the AC line. This line noise is a common cause of incremental hardware damage, data corruption and audio/video performance problems. The AVR750U incorporates technology that filters out disruptive line noise, preventing it from affecting your equipment.

The AVR750U includes one set of tel/DSL (RJ11) jacks to protect a standard telephone, fax, dialup modem or DSL connection.
The AVR750U features an HID-compliant USB port (USB cable included). Used with Tripp Lite's free PowerAlert software (available from Tripp Lite as a Web download), this USB port enables safe unattended system shutdown and file saves in the event of a prolonged power failure. The USB port also enables integration with built-in power management and auto shutdown features of Windows®, Linux® and Mac OS® X.
The AVR750U features a space-saving, ultra-compact housing that fits on a desktop, a shelf or almost anywhere. Its 6-ft. power cord features a right-angle plug that allows furniture to be placed flush against the wall. The AVR750U's housing is equipped with integrated keyhole mounting slots for secure wall-mount installation.
The AVR750U is manufactured in compliance with strict RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) guidelines to minimize the use of hazardous materials, and its internal battery is 100% recyclable.
The AVR750U comes with $100,000 Ultimate Lifetime Insurance coverage for connected equipment and a 3-year warranty.

Tripp-Lite TRIPS-A-LOT,

This review is from: Tripp Lite AVR750U AVR 750VA Compact Line-Interactive UPS (12 Outlets) (Electronics)
Worked okay for about 3 months, and then started shutting itself down, with no warning, no beeping, nothing. Just shuts down. Starts right back up when you press the ON button, but will shut down again in a day, or in a week, or in two weeks, no rhyme or reason, just whenever it feels like it. Need an UPS for this UPS!!

This review is from: Tripp Lite AVR750U AVR 750VA Compact Line-Interactive UPS (12 Outlets) (Electronics)
The power supply is very well built. It has no noise and a lot of useful outlets. The problems i have are with the software and help with software problems. The software is not exactly user friendly as you can't change the settings once they're set. Reinstall only made matters worse. Can't seem to get any help from manufacturer about the software. Would be 5 star if i could resolve software issues. Had to disable the main reason i got it; to protect the computer while i am at work. Still will be useful when i am home. Next power outage won't crash the computer as i'll be able to turn it off with UPS providing the power. Avr 750VA US120V Line-int 8OUTLET 5-15R Tel USB 750 Va needs an improved software to be a great product! If you need just a basic UPS then look at another product as this one is overpriced for what you end up with.

Another randomly shutting off AVR750 :(,
This review is from: Tripp Lite AVR750U AVR 750VA Compact Line-Interactive UPS (12 Outlets) (Electronics)
I have been a big Tripp Lite fan in the past. I decided to buy this to replace an old APC which lasted 3+ dependable years on the original battery.
In the last 19 months, I have walked in to my computer room to see my computer completely shut off and would not power on. I had to crawl under my computer desk to press and hold the on button. I thought UPS units are for preventing power failures, NOT providing it's own power failure. My battery has now failed in less than 2 years and still under warranty. After reading other reviews...I would NEVER get it replaced. Computers are too expensive to be killed by a UPS shutting down all the time. Do yourself a favor...read other reviews on this unit. Sorry Tripp Lite. I just bought an APC. I feel a big weight lifted off my shoulders.
