4.0 out of 5 stars Solid product, but additional features desired.
Pros: Works with Macintosh Leopard's Energy System Preferences. 12 outlets and 4 are spaced for AC adapters, nothing else like it for this price!

Cons: No software for Macintosh so can't monitor UPS for voltage drops. Likewise, I can see the power level (which seems to be plenty for my 19" CRT, Dual G4, speakers, wireless access point, USB hub, speakers,...

1.0 out of 5 stars P.O.S.!
Worst UPS I've ever bought!
Randomly drops out power at least once a week almost since day one.

4/11/2011 and have hard computer crashes almost ever day.

Replaced with surge suppressor.

Total waste of money!

Buy an APC instead.

5.0 out of 5 stars Decent compact UPS with replaceable battery, April 13, 2011

Most compact UPSes don't have a user replaceable battery. Since the batteries typically only last 3 years it's a good idea to find a ups where you can change out the battery.
This one is simple and small. Just what I needed.
The one grip is that I was not easy for me to programmatically change the settings to disable the alarm beeping. I have a mac (which makes basic set up dead easy with this ups) but they don't have a downloadable program for the mac. Anyways you can always open and remove the alarm speaker.

4.0 out of 5 stars So far,so good, February 6, 2011

I'm a musician who plays pedal steel & guitar. In many of the venues I work in the AC power fluctuates enough that it makes the tone of my amplifiers change during the performance. After I started using the Tripp Lite AVR 900va UPS the tone of my amps stay much more stable. I love it! I also use it in my recording studio to protect my expensive DAW (digital audio workstation) from voltage spikes & sags. I should have purchased one a long time ago. I highly recommend it!

I like the ability to be able to -turn on/off- my equipment from the UPS.
My previous UPS would not allow me to turn on/off the UPS. I could only turn on/off the devices that were -powered- by the UPS. So the UPS was connected and POWERED all the time. If I turned off the UPS it would BEEP all the time.

I can now TURN OFF the UPS (on the UPS) and not draw ANY power wasted, charging the battery that does not need charging.

Seems to be doing the trick. Wish it had an "input" for your coax cable for my tv. But otherwise seems to work well!!
