Quick and Simple Setup
The B004-DUA2-K-R is easy to configure for your system. Just install the included KVM Switcher Software, connect your computers and audio components to the switch using the included USB KVM cable kits and audio cable kits, plug in the power adapter and you're ready to play!
Control Two Computers
The B004-DUA2-K-R lets you to control two computers from a single keyboard, mouse and monitor. Keyboard hot keys and a front-mounted port selection buttons give you two convenient ways to select a computer. In Auto Scan mode, the B004-DUA2-K-R automatically cycles between the ports at regular 5-second intervals, enabling you to monitor computer activity with no need to manually switch between computers.
Independent Audio Switching
The B004-DUA2-K-R features independent audio switching capability that allows you to listen to audio from one computer even when switched to the other computer, for an uninterrupted audio experience.
Hot-Swap Capability
The B004-DUA2-K-R's KVM ports are hot-swappable, allowing you to add or remove computers without powering down either the KVM switch or computers. This handy feature enables you to swap out a computer without disrupting the overall system.
Universal Compatibility
The B004-DUA2-K-R is compatible with all operating systems, including Windows Server 2008 and Win7, and supports Microsoft® IntelliMouse® and the scrolling wheel on most mice. It incorporates DVI technology to reduce undesirable video distortion from conventional analog/digital conversion. Both DVI single-link digital video (up to 1920 x 1200) and DVI analog video (up to2048 x 1536) are supported. Since compatibility is based on common hardware standards, almost any type of computer can be connected to the switch.
Easy-to-Use Software
The B004-DUA2-K-R comes with innovative KVM Switcher Software that works with both Windows and Macintosh platforms. I purchased the Tripp Lite model B004-DUA2-K-R-2 less than 1 year ago. The original unit didn't work at all. Tripp did agree to sent a replacement free of charge.The replacement unit worked intermittently, and occasionally had to be unplugged for awhile before it would work correctly. In less than 1 year it finally stopped working. Tripp has issued a return authorization, freight to be paid at my own expense and is not reimbursable. Instead of investing additional freight costs, I'll be investigating different manufacturers. IO GEAR and ATEN look promising. (I understand IO Gear and Aten are affiliate companies.)

I went through a period of trying one KVM switch after another to find one that would switch between two Macintoshes. This one couldn't do it, although TL techies tried mightily to make it functional by phone. It may work for PC's; I don't know. Good company, but product not ready for prime time.

Mac Users Beware,

The cables supplied with this do not work with Mac. Macs use Mini DVI to DVI and these cables are DVI-D. This a very hard adapter to find, even Tripp-lite doesn't make it. The trade off is buy DVI cables but then the audio doesn't switch. This is too bad because the switching is great and event the non std mouse signals work. It would be very easy for Tripp Lite to offer, even for a cost, Mac adapters
