The HT2210ISOCTR’s low-profile cabinet is designed for easy, unobtrusive installation behind a flat-panel TV. The HT2210ISOCTR’s 5100-joule surge suppression rating, Isobar surge protection technology and rugged all-metal housing shield connected equipment from even the strongest surges. EMI/RFI line noise filtering helps A/V components perform at their peak. Line noise filtering eliminates the audio static and video “snow” caused by radio transmissions, fluorescent lighting and appliances, assuring sharper, crisper video, deeper, fuller audio, and longer component life spans.

The HT2210ISOCTR provides multiple layers of protection for connected components. Two surge-protected 5-15R outlets safeguard a flat-panel TV and one accessory against surges on the AC line. Corrosion-resistant 24K gold plug contacts help to assure clean, even AC input power. A built-in circuit breaker protects against dangerous system overload. Fail-safe thermal fusing functions as an additional circuit breaker, shutting down the unit and connected components in the event of a catastrophic surge. A nice product in concept and with good performance specifications. However, if what you want to plug into this surge protector had a flat, offset plug the mounting strip for the unit may prevent you from plugging it in, your wire may hit the mounting flange preventing plugging your item in. Check your plugs and look at the photos of the product to make sure your plugs will work without hitting the mounting strip. I have this same unit on other items that the plugs do fit and it works fine. I can't believe it was designed this way, what an oversight. I had to send mine back. It's useless if you can't plug into it.

This unit is very compact and fits perfectly behind a wall mounted lcd. While the unit is fairly small in size it weighs more than much bigger surge protectors that i have elsewhere. Also at 5100 joules it offers some major protection for your flat panel. The short cord is just right to keep things nice and neat. I read many reviews on Tripp-Lite products and how they saved others components from actual lightening strikes while other components using cheap surge protectors got fried. One less thing to worry about. At just over $30 on special its a no brainer.

Update: I attached an image of this mounted. You can see it by clicking on customer images. If you look you will see it has two green LED's that are lit. The reason why I mention this is that the center one is not lit. After reading the manual that center one that is not lit indicated that the ground to the power center was not correct. As it turned after checking the outlet I found the polarity was reversed even though the outlet was grounded. Using a test light i confirmed the outlet had the hot and neutral wires reversed. After fixing this now all three lights are lit and I know its properly connected and protected. The other two LED's light green to tell you 1) the surge compression components are intact and providing full protection for you component 2) Indicates nominal AC power is present with no wiring faults detected.

This indicator lights are not just for show and do work.
