Tripp Lite's HT850UPS line-interactive UPS offers complete protection for PCs, workstations and other sensitive electronics. Internal UPS circuits support individual VCR/DVR components as long as 3 hours during power failures. Prevents data loss and system downtime by providing battery-supported AC output during blackouts and automatic voltage regulation (AVR) during brownouts and overvoltages. Includes 12 output receptacles, 4 of which are widely spaced to accommodate large transformer blocks. 6 outlets offer full battery support and surge suppression, protecting computers, monitors and other vital system components. 6 additional outlets with surge suppression only are ideal for printers and other peripherals. Single-line telephone suppression jacks protect modems, fax machines, cordless phones. Set of gold coaxial line surge suppression jacks protect CATV, satellite or broadcast antennas. Audible alarm and front panel LEDs offer status information regarding line and battery power operation. A well constructed UPS. Comes with cables for all connections. Performs well in keeping my home theater going for a few minutes in the event of power failure. Poor Macintosh support for computer connection, but built-tin Mac power management control can handle it.

In the area I live we have a lot of power outages. I have the Tripp Lite hooked up to an HD TV along with a Satellite box. Now I have the opportunity to shut the system down correctly, and no more having to wait for the Satellite system to reconfigure itself when power returns. Much kinder on the TV too!!

I recently purchased the Tripp Lite HT850UPS Home Theater UPS because I kept getting intermittent power outages or surges which caused my satellite TV system to loose guide information or reboot my DVR's. Since I've hooked up the UPS, I still get power outages/surges (lousy electrical service!) but My Home Theater system no longer knows that it's happening! What a great product this has been.
