Power problems—including blackouts, brownouts, power surges and line noise—threaten your investment! They can damage or destroy PCs and other expensive equipment, wipe out valuable data and files, and degrade component performance. Get protected against these all-too-common power threats with Tripp Lite’s INTERNET350SER UPS System. It provides reliable battery backup that can keep a basic desktop PC operational for up to 12 minutes during blackouts. Surge suppression and EMI/RFI line noise filtering prevent hardware damage and performance problems such as poor-quality audio and video output.
The INTERNET350SER’s 350VA/180-watt power rating provides capacity for a wide range of home and office PC setups, workstations, point-of-sale systems and more. It features 3 battery-supported AC outlets for computer, monitor and other vital system peripherals, plus 3 surge suppression-only outlets for accessories not requiring battery support. One set of tel/DSL jacks protects connected equipment on a tel/DSL line. One DB9 serial communication port plus free PowerAlert software (available via Web download) enables unattended system shutdown and file saves in case of a prolonged power failure. The INTERNET350SER comes with $100,000 Ultimate Lifetime Insurance coverage for connected equipment (USA/Canada only) and a 3-year product warranty.

With reliable battery backup, tel/DSL jacks and a DB9 serial communication port, the INTERNET350SER offers a complete power protection solution for a wide range of home and office electronics. The INTERNET350SER features a split-outlet design with 6 total AC outlets: 3 to provide battery backup support and surge protection for computers, monitors and other critical components; 3 to provide surge protection only for peripherals such as printers and scanners that do not need battery backup.
UPS battery backup support enables you to work through short power failures, and provides time to save files and perform an orderly system shutdown in case of a prolonged blackout. The INTERNET350SER features an internal battery that provides 2.5 min. of battery support for a full load (180 watts), 10 min. for a half-load (90 watts) or 12 min. for a basic desktop PC. During normal operation, incoming utility power keeps the UPS battery fully charged so that backup power will always be available if needed.
A sudden power surge or spike can damage or destroy electronic components and wipe out irreplaceable data. The INTERNET350SER features built-in surge suppression to protect all connected components and the data they contain.
Various electromagnetic and radio sources can cause disruptive interference on the AC line. This line noise is a common cause of incremental hardware damage, data corruption and audio/video performance problems. The INTERNET350SER incorporates technology that filters out disruptive line noise, preventing it from affecting your equipment.
The INTERNET350SER includes one set of tel/DSL (RJ11) jacks to protect a standard telephone, fax, dialup modem or DSL connection.

The INTERNET350SER features a DB9 serial communication port (DB9 cable included). Used with Tripp Lite’s free PowerAlert software (available from Tripp Lite as a Web download), this serial port enables safe unattended system shutdown and file saves in the event of a prolonged power failure.
The INTERNET350SER features a space-saving, ultra-compact housing that fits on a desktop, a shelf or almost anywhere. Its 6-ft. power cord features a right-angle plug that allows furniture to be placed flush against the wall. The INTERNET350SER’s housing is equipped with integrated keyhole mounting slots for secure wall-mount installation.
The INTERNET350SER is manufactured in compliance with strict RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) guidelines to minimize the use of hazardous materials, and its internal battery is 100% recyclable.
The INTERNET350SER comes with $100,000 Ultimate Lifetime Insurance coverage for connected equipment (USA/Canada only) and a 3-year product warranty.

This review is from: Tripp Lite INTERNET350SER Internet Office 350VA Compact UPS (6 Outlets) (Electronics)
I get a lot of very brief power outages. The electricity goes off for about a half second, but then comes right back on - just long enough to make my PC reboot. That's the primary reason why I bought the Internet 350.
In the two plus years that I've owned the unit, I've had many of these "mini-failures". Each time, the Tripp-Lite has performed flawlessly, filling the gap in power so that my PC never knows that anything has happened. I've also had several more serious power outages that lasted several minutes or hours. The Internet 350 gave me more than enough time to save my data, shut down the applications I was running and power down my equipment in an orderly fashion. In addition to this 350VA unit, I also have Tripp-Lite's 525VA UPS. Between the two, I can provide power for 3 PCs, 2 CRT Monitors, a Cable Modem and a Router. I'm not looking for extended power coverage - I'm not running any kind of critical systems. I just want something that will take care of the power "blinks" and let me shut things down normally in the event of a longer outage. In this regard, I find the Tripp-Lites completely satisfactory. The 350VA unit has a total of 6 AC outlets - 3 for surge protection only and 3 for surge protection and power backup. One of each set of 3 outlets is spaced to accomodate a transformer block without interfering with the other outlets. There are also telephone jacks so that you can surge protect your telephone modem line. LEDs give you the unit's status and it beeps when you're on battery backup. I'm completely satisfied with my Tripp-Lite Internet Office 350 UPS and can recommend it without hesitation.

QC for the product leaves much to be desired.,

Bought 18 of these as part of a large Dell order. Over half of the units are so sensitive to mechanical movement that they will shut themselves off with no warning. Just plugging in an unconnected power cord (i.e. - no load) or the USB cable will cause those particular units to shut off. (Not all of the 18 have this problem.) The USB connection to the WinXP based "power options" tab automatically gives you a "running on batteries" option for graceful shutdown (I suppose) before the batteries run out. Nice.
I'm extremely disappointed with the quality control (or bad design) of this unit. We have called Tripp Lite warranty folks, and supposedly we'll get new (or replacement ) units with no questions asked (other than S/N of the unit and date of purchase). I hope the replacements don't have this problem too. We might have gotten a bad batch, but until they get their QC problems ironed out, I would stay away from this unit.

it works pretty well. we had a long lasting outage about a month ago and it actually maintained power for the idle products connected to it for several hours. once something that needed to be used was plugged in, the power drained very quickly. on the negative side, it has the classic mind numbing UPS beep when it's using back up power. It drove me so nuts that I had to turn it off because it's also very loud. It also omits a plastic/burning smell from time to time which always makes me a bit nervous.
