Tripp Lite's LCR2400 Line Conditioner keep your equipment working through brownouts without using emergency power such as UPS systems and auxiliary generators. It automatically adjusts under- and overvoltages to provide safe, computer-grade AC power meeting ANSI C84.1 specifications. Additionally, because printers have a high current draw and a tendency to cause localized brownouts, Hewlett-Packard® recommends the use of a line conditioner with their laser printers. Surges, spikes and EMI/RFI line noise wear down sensitive circuitry and can cause premature aging or total failure of your equipment. The LC2400 exceeds the IEEE-587 standard for surge suppression (both categories A and B). It features the widest voltage correction range of any comparable units. Using multiple levels of voltage correction, the LC2400 automatically adjust under- and overvoltages to keep you working through brownouts and prolonged overvoltage conditions. The LC2400 also protects your valuable equipment with built-in premium surge suppression.

The LCR2400 provides comprehensive protection and performance enhancement for computers, A/V components and all electronics in a 3U rackmount format. It features built-in automatic voltage regulation to protect sensitive equipment from the harmful effects of brownouts and overvoltages, plus a 1440-joule surge suppression rating to protect against catastrophic surge damage. The LCR2400 also filters out disruptive line noise that can cause performance problems and corrupt or erase data. Exclusive Isobar® isolated filter bank technology prevents mutual interference between connected components. With its 2400-watt output rating and fourteen outlets, the LCR2400 provides ample capacity for multiple items of connected equipment.

Advanced Automatic Voltage Regulation

To protect connected equipment from the harmful effects of voltage fluctuations, the LCR2400 features built-in Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) with three levels of voltage stabilization to provide a targeted response to overvoltages, undervoltages and severe brownouts. The LCR2400 can correct brownouts as low as 87V and overvoltages up to 140V back to safe, nominal 120V power. AVR protection prevents equipment damage, data loss and power-related performance problems.

EMI/RFI Line Noise Filtering

Various electromagnetic and radio sources can cause disruptive interference on the AC line. This EMI/RFI line noise is a common cause of incremental hardware damage, data corruption and audio/video performance problems. The LCR2400 incorporates technology that filters out disruptive line noise, preventing it from affecting your equipment or corrupting data.

Exclusive Isolated Filter Banks

Devices connected to the same AC power source can interfere with one another's performance. The LCR2400 features Tripp Lite's exclusive Isobar® isolated filter bank technology to prevent mutual interference from causing A/V distortion, computer lock-ups, data errors and similar problems. The LCR2400's outlets are arranged in two isolated filter banks, ensuring that peripheral devices don't degrade the performance of computers or sensitive A/V components.

Powerful AC Line Surge Suppression

The LCR2400 provides 1440 joules of surge suppression to prevent even the strongest surges from damaging your valuable electronics. Includes full normal mode (H-N) and common mode (N-G/H-G) line surge suppression.

Built-In Diagnostic Capability

Seven diagnostic LEDs provide complete power status information: AC power (green = NORM), incoming voltage level (2 x yellow = HIGH/LOW, 2 x red = VERY HIGH/VERY LOW) and AC line status (green = LINE OK, red = LINE FAULT). An On/Off switch located on the rear of the unit provides one-touch power control over all components.

3U Rackmount Design

The LCR2400 is optimized for rackmount applications with an all-metal housing and fourteen AC outlets (two front, twelve rear), providing ample capacity for connected equipment. The LCR2400 installs in 3U of rack space (mounting hardware included). A 12-ft. power cord enables connection to a distant outlet.

The Tripp Lite LCR2400 Rackmount Line Conditioner is a 2400 Watt Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) system in convenient 3U, 19-inch rackmount configuration. It protects sensitive electronics, computer accessories and home theater equipment from power-related damage and performance problems. This unit extends the useful life of connected equipment by providing optimum voltage conditions for enhanced efficiency and cooler internal operating temperatures. Reliable transformer-based voltage correction circuits maintain 120V nominal output during voltage fluctuations between 89 and 147 volts. Three levels of voltage stabilization offer targeted response for overvoltages, undervoltages and severe brownouts. It prevents equipment damage and power related performance problems for computer accessories, printers, home theater equipment and other sensitive electronic devices. The LCR2400 provides network-grade AC surge and EMI/RFI noise suppression. It supports loads up to 2400 Watts and 20 Amps. We have power issues at our office. Sometimes lights go dim for several minutes on end. Rarely do we have a power failure, but we have very "saggy" power. This device compensates for it perfectly. We have 4 non-critical servers connected to it. We did not want to go to the expense of a UPS because everything connected to this line conditioner is not of extreme importance. Our mission-critical servers are maintained by an off-site managed hosting company.

I'd also add that this is one of the few electronic devices that I've encountered that actually has wiring (12 gauge) that matches its advertised capacity. There are so many devices (vacuum cleaners, air compressors) with ridiculous labels like "10 amp" or "5 HP" that have wiring that would cause fires if such labels were true. This device has the wiring capable of sustaining its advertised and intended load (2400W / 120V = 20A which requires 12AWG wire).

I'm purchasing a 2nd one of these because I was so happy with the 1st one. I've added more equipment to my rack which necessitated the addition of another 20 Amp dedicated circuit. I added another LCR2400 to handle the job of conditioning and protecting the equipment on that line. While this unit is not as fancy as some of the other units, I believe it outperforms them and is a great value to boot. I have about $20,000 worth of amps and electronics in my rack and feel confident that these units will do their job to provide clean, regulated voltage and surge protection if called upon.

I purchased this for my son electronic equipment, and as a DJ he has a LOT of it. Turntables, mixers, a PA system, amplifiers, the works. It has been used for many months and provides solid, steady current. A very good choice to provide clean current to electronics.
