1.0 out of 5 stars Notebook/laptop Cooling Pad BLOWS
This notebook/laptop cooling pad has very little air-flow.
Also, whenever you are typing on your laptop, causing your palms to rest on the laptop, it causes the fan blades to rub against the chassis, causing a loud noise. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

This device is sturdy enough to support both devices without making fan noise and it's only about half an inch high. Because it supports both I didn't have to worry about it resting under the computer alone and creating a lift angle causing a flaky connection with the docking station. The price is quite reasonable and I recommend it highly for any 15 inch laptop and I suspect it would work fine for larger ones too. It can be used with the USB port on either side for flexibility too.

I recently bought a 17" Gateway laptop and realized that it got way too hot to use on my lap. This cooling pad works well for the price, but there is one flaw. I guess because my laptop is 17" the weight of it causes it to hit the fans every now and then. It doen't cause any damage and still works perfectly fine, it's just annoying to have to reposition the laptop so it doesn't make noise from hitting the fans. Other than that it works well and is very quite. If I had a 14" or 15" laptop I would definately recommend this cooling pad. 17" laptop I would look around a little bit, but if you can't find anything thats close in cost this cooling pad works fine.

I am extremely happy with the laptop cooling pad. It is quiet and and thin but also works well to keep the laptop cool. Couldn't be happier.

its ok but not good for any laptops that have the fan mounted on the bottom of the laptop like Compaq evo you need a cooler that blows into the fan, better buy if fans were reversible directions.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great cooling for over a year, May 19, 2010
This review is from: Tripp Lite NC2003SR Notebook/Laptop Cooling Pad with 2 Built-In USB Powered Fans (Personal Computers)
I purchased the Tripp Lite cooling pad for my 13" Dell D620 over a year ago. I use it 7 days a week for 12 hours and it always works great. Before using the pad, I was loosing components due to heat. Now my laptop stays cool. It also fits well inside my laptop bag for trips. The fan is not exposed so I don't have to worry about wires breaking or the fan being bumped like other pads where the fan is exposed underneath. The fan is quiet; almost unnoticeable. The one downside is that the rubber knobby things that keep your laptop raised so it doesn't sit flat on the cool pad are not in the right place for my laptop so I have to adjust it now and then. If it had a few more rubber knobs it would work better for multiple size laptops. Nonetheless, my husband is always stealing it and using it for his 16" Toshiba Satellite and it works well for it.

The fans seem like they do not move very much air, but it does keep my lap cooler.

Hi alls,

I bought this item beccause I wanted to guarantee some of "Cool Air" on my DELL Inspiron 6400, but this doesn't work, I can see one fan rotating (It's go so Slow)

One thing good that I can say about, it is so silent, but only this

Besides, It doesn't Do the JOB, It was cheap, but it's dissapointing.

In Spanish...

1.0 out of 5 stars junk, March 19, 2009

been meaning to post this review. this pad lasted about two weeks for me...just a piece of cheap plastic junk that never really moved much air to start with.

If your laptop is overheating first thing to do is clean your vents and make sure nothing is clogging the fans. If you still need a cooling pad, look elsewhere. this one stinks
