Power problems—including blackouts, brownouts, power surges and line noise—threaten your investment! They can damage or destroy PCs and other expensive equipment, wipe out valuable data and files, and degrade component performance. Get protected against these all-too-common power threats with Tripp Lite's OMNI900LCD Digital UPS System. It provides reliable battery backup that can keep entry-level PC systems operational for up to 50 minutes during blackouts. Automatic voltage regulation (AVR) corrects low-voltage conditions (brownouts) back to safe 120V power without draining the UPS battery. Surge suppression and EMI/RFI line noise filtering prevent hardware damage and performance problems such as poor-quality audio and video output. A large illuminated LCD screen with dimmer switch shows incoming power conditions and UPS operations in real time. Plus, the OMNI900LCD comes with $200,000 Ultimate Lifetime Insurance coverage for connected equipment and a 3-year warranty.

Featuring reliable battery backup, automatic voltage regulation, surge suppression, line noise filtering and a USB communication port, the OMNI900LCD offers a complete power protection solution for PCs, A/V components and all home and office electronics. The OMNI900LCD features a split-outlet design with 8 total AC outlets: 4 to provide battery backup support and surge protection for computers, monitors and other critical components; 4 to provide surge protection only for peripherals such as printers and scanners that do not need battery backup.
UPS battery backup support enables you to work through short power failures, and provides time to save files and perform an orderly system shutdown in case of a prolonged blackout. The OMNI900LCD features a large internal battery that provides 3 min. of battery support for a full load (475 watts), 10 min. for a half-load (237.5 watts) or 50 min. for a single PC. During normal operation, incoming utility power keeps the UPS battery fully charged so that backup power will always be available if needed.
AVR protects your equipment from incremental hardware damage, data loss and performance problems that can be caused by low-voltage conditions, commonly known as brownouts. The OMNI900LCD can correct brownouts as low as 89V back to 120V without drawing on battery backup power that may be needed to support your equipment during a blackout.
The OMNI900LCD features a large illuminated LCD screen with dimmer switch that alerts you to potential power problems. This screen shows input voltage, 5-bar battery charge level, overload, AVR, on battery and replace battery status at a glance. It can be rotated for easy viewing in both horizontal and vertical UPS installations.
A sudden power surge or spike can damage or destroy electronic components and wipe out irreplaceable data. The OMNI900LCD features an 870-joule surge suppression rating to protect all connected components and the data they contain.
Various electrical and radio sources can cause disruptive interference on the AC line. This line noise is a common cause of incremental hardware damage, data corruption and audio/video performance problems. The OMNI900LCD incorporates technology that filters out disruptive line noise, preventing it from affecting your equipment.

The OMNI900LCD features an HID-compliant USB port. Used with Tripp Lite's free PowerAlert software (available from Tripp Lite as a Web download), this USB port enables safe unattended system shutdown and file saves in the event of a prolonged power failure. The USB port also enables integration with built-in power management and auto shutdown features of Windows® and Mac OS® X.
The compact OMNI900LCD is easily adaptable to vertical (tower) or horizontal installations with no special hardware required. Its 6-ft power cord features a space-saving right-angle plug that allows furniture to be placed flush against the wall. For rackmount installation, an optional 2U shelf (model SRSHELF2P) is available.
The OMNI900LCD's efficient design conserves electricity, saves money and reduces CO2 emissions. This UPS System is manufactured in compliance with strict RoHS (Reduction of Hazardous Substances) guidelines to minimize the use of hazardous materials, and its replaceable internal battery is 100% recyclable.
The OMNI900LCD comes with $200,000 Ultimate Lifetime Insurance coverage for connected equipment (USA/Canada only) and a 3-year product warranty.

I purchased this UPS as a backup for my CPAP machine. It's very capable of doing the job. The LCD, and information it provides is very helpful, and appears to be accurate. You can't beat the feature set on this UPS for the price. My only real complaint is with the smell of the plastic. It will fill the room with an awful stink when this thing warms up. I'm guessing it will go away as the unit breaks in, but really shouldn't be there to begin with. I have noticed that many of the products that come from China these days have a problem with stinky plastic.

Impressed with the product.Seems as capable as the 1000VA model UPS, at significantly less cost when I purchased it (30%) cheaper.Has 4 power backup outlets and 4 surge protection outlets.AC voltage large numeral LCD display useful in monitoring just how instable and fluctuating AC power can be depending on where you live.Backup power tripped once, worked as advertised.A RECOMMENDED investment if you have lots of expensive Home Entertainment gear.

This review is from: Tripp Lite OMNI900LCD Digital LCD 900VA Line-Interactive UPS (8 Outlets) (Electronics)
After a power outage, I decided to place UPS's on both of my HDTV Systems. In my main room, I purchased the APC BX1500G unit(1500VA Battery Backup with LCD), which also has a LCD screen. It is rather large, but the screen is fantastic, showing wattage consumed on the battery outlet plugs, and minutes of backup. For the other TV, I didn't need one nearly as large (not as much equipment), and I wanted one that was more compact that would fit in the shelving. This one (TrippLite Omni900LCD) fit those needs perfectly. It is an attractive unit, and unlike the APC, the unit can be placed horizontal as well as vertical, and the screen can be repositioned so it is logical for the positioning. All Great. Also the size for a 900VA unit is even smaller than I had hoped, it fit very well in the cabinet. The heat generated is negligible, and that is in the back of a wood cabinet, it is airy, but still somewhat confined. However, the one drawback is the LCD screen. The info on the screen is too simple! It will read overload, replace battery, on battery, and input voltage - but that's it. After the APC I was wanting another unit to tell me the output wattage and percent of capacity, so I could know how close to the threshold I was getting (always a mystery on older UPSs)- Tripplite went part of the way, but they didn't get all the way there. I know from having similar (but less) equipment on the other system that I could plug just about everything in (DVR, 47" LED TV, Wii, Blu-Ray), but if you don't have some way to measure your wattage, you won't know how close you are really getting. Also, unlike the APC, you get no reading of how long your load could go on battery. (NOTE: Whatever it reads for possible battery life, if you are actually running your TV or your Computer CPU, you won't have that much time 10-15 minutes is good for any UPS in that case). Finally, the other drawback is that the LCD screen is always on from what I can tell. You can dim it, but this is a piece of equipment which should only show you it's screen as necessary - and for the preservation of long life should keep it turned off otherwise. I do recommend this unit, with the caveats above. I think it is a little overpriced since the LCD doesn't provide full info, but the size and ability to change orientation is fastastic.
