Fine until it stops,

I am not sure what the typical life span of this product is. I bought my first one in 2007. It worked beautifully until it stopped October 2011. I replaced it and it's presently doing it's job just fine.

Software has all sorts of issues with my Mac Snow Leopard, so I just didn't use it and instead just used the UPS settings under system preferences. That works fine, except in my building the power often drops to 100 volts for a second or two. The UPS kicks in to up the voltage like it should for these few seconds and then goes back to non-battery. This is great, but it puts a warning message on my screen saying the system is now on battery backup and I should turn off computer....even tho its only been on backup for 1 or 2 seconds.The end result of all this is that in the morning I'm left with a screen full of warning messages that i have to individually close. Just annoying. |
