Product Description

Tripp Lite’s SRW12US Wall Mount Rack Enclosure Cabinet is the ideal storage solution for standard rackmount equipment in applications with limited floor space. Constructed with a hinged wall mounting bracket and a sturdy steel frame, it can accommodate up to 140 lbs. of equipment in 12U of rack space. Four adjustable vertical mounting rails with square holes accommodate all standard 19-inch rack equipment. To allow easy access to rackmounted equipment, the enclosure cabinet is hinged to swing away from the wall mounting bracket. The SRW12US also features perforated lockable side panels and front door, assuring generous airflow to keep equipment operating safely. The front door is reversible and the side panels are removable for easy access to equipment. The top and bottom panels of the enclosure include convenient cable routing ports. The SRW12US ships fully assembled and comes with a 5-year manufacturer’s product warranty.

Simple Equipment Installation

Front and rear pairs of rails adjust in one-inch increments. Adjustment is quick and convenient – simply unscrew the rails, slide them to the desired depth and restore the screws. Square mounting holes and included hardware support up to 140 lbs. of standard 19-inch rack equipment. Rack spaces are numbered for easy reference.

Easy, Secure Equipment Access

The wall bracket includes a sturdy hinge that allows the SRW12US to swing away from the wall for convenient access to equipment and cabling. The swing direction of the enclosure and door can be reversed by rotating the enclosure 180 degrees before installation. The wall bracket locks to provide secure access. The front door locks to provide secure access and is perforated to promote efficient airflow.

Modular Side Panels

The SRW12US includes two lockable, removable side panels for ease of installation and service access. The side panels are perforated to allow generous airflow.

Vented Top and Bottom Panels with Cable Ports

The top and bottom panels of the SRW12US are furnished with vents designed to help remove warm air from the enclosure and draw in cool air by convection. They also support installation of standard user-supplied case fans. The top and bottom panels are also provided with ports for cable routing through the movable portion of the enclosure or the fixed wall bracket. Removable covers block unused cable ports.

SmartRack Accessories Adapt, Enhance and Expand Enclosures

The optional SRCASTER rolling caster kit adapts the enclosure to floor-standing and roll-away applications under desks, tables or counters. Additional SmartRack Cooling Solutions and Rack Accessories are available for a variety of applications: air conditioning, heat removal, airflow management, cable management, rack shelves, security & monitoring, mounting and power.

Front and side access doors that lock as well as a swing-out for rear access. The front door could easily be pried open so this is not a security box. The box itself can be mounted so that the hinge swings either way.
Has holes for wheel mount on bottom and top, holes for fan mounts, and removable panels for cable access top and bottom. Lockable side doors also.
All in all a nice versatile box. Mine arrived dented and had to return.

I upgraded to this after purchasing the Norco W-609 cabinet. This is an extremely nice enclosure and it shows. The rails inside are neatly numbered and the paint looks high quality and thick. The edges on the cabinet are also rounded so you don't cut yourself on them accidentally. The cage nuts are VERY easy to install too, you can just pop them in with your fingers.

The only downside I can even think of is, if you buy the optional caster set it is pretty annoying to mount them to the bottom of it because the holes are in kind of an odd place which makes it difficult to put the screws in properly.

Bottom line: This is the second Tripp Lite product I've purchased, and I will definitely buy more in the future. They have both been very high quality.
