This review is from: Tripp Lite SUPER7 7-Outlet Surge Protector (2160 Joules, 7ft. Cord) (Electronics)
I bought three of these for various locations throughout the house. I wanted actual surge protection and not just a power strip. After mucho reading of reviews I went with Tripp Lite. I have some other Tripp Lite strips at home, and they seem durable and nice. And the components inside are allegedly top-notch (although I wouldn't personally know). This is a new style of Super7. I have an older style Super7 and there are two main differences. The first is that on the new style the side plugs are closer to the end of the strip. My old style has them smack in the middle. That should not really affect anything at all, except for maybe aesthetics. The one major gripe, though, is the on/off switch. The old style was this strong, stiff, bulky thing that required work to turn on or off. A good thing considering strips are often in the area of accidental kicks and shoves by one's feet. Unfortunately, the new Super7 features a week on/off switch that can EASILY and accidentally be turned on or off. You now have to pay special attention to the location of the strip. Even my cat could accidentally flip this off. Not good when a computer is plugged into it. Two stars off for this new "feature."

I purchased a new desktop computer to replace my old laptop. The external monitor and speakers required two additional outlets on my surge protector.
My old surge protector had enough outlets, but two of the power cables had plugs that took up three spaces, each. In addition, I had my surge protector, router, cables and plugs all tucked into a small space in the back drawer of my desk. THIS SURGE PROTECTOR SOLVED MY PROBLEMS. I was able to plug ALL of my devices onto this surge protector, AND it fitted perfectly into the small space. I've had it for about a month and have encountered no problems. The 2350 Joules gives me peace of mind that my new computer will be protected. The price is pretty good, too!

I use their higher end power groomers at work, and their consumer grade gear is very solid too. Their customer service is outstanding as well. So rare, a good product at a good price.

I had read about surge protectors and this one was the best value for the money spent. It has plenty of outlets for all your plugs and has a warranty with a money amount attached to it if it screws up your equipment. I had heard to pick one that put their money where their mouth was and this does!

Have my LCD TV hooked up to it and it is a requirement here in Florida with the many power spikes we have and these are not from storms alone.
A lot cheaper than having your equipmnet fried.

Never had any trouble with Tripp Lite products, but I've also never had to call them in to cover any damaged equipment either! I like the way they designed the 3 outlets for transformers. It keeps the overall length down while still providing a decent amount of options. The indicator lights are easy to see. I would have given 5 stars if ALL the outlets were spaced just a little further apart. Not sure what else to say, so...get one!

I couldn't be happier with my choice. I looked at a lot of surge protectors but I knew from past experience that I wanted indicator lights to know that it is truly protecting my devices. The other thing that I was looking for was that the plug direction was opposite of most of the surge protectors on the market because the latest products I've been purchasing seem to be coming with a thin transformer with the prongs oriented 90 degrees from what we are typically use to getting. And even if I had that odd or older transformer there were locations on the side that could be used to plug those in assuming they were so large that they would interfere with the transformers plug in the top and it worked out great. The only thing that could make this product better would be some cord management incorporated.

Good value for it's price. This product arrived within a week from the order date. It is hard to truly evaluate this product without a test ( an electrical surge ).
