Versatile Protection for All Electronics
The TLP1008TELTV offers cost-effective surge protection for PCs, peripheral devices and all electronics. It provides 10 AC outlets, including 5 widely spaced outlets that accommodate bulky transformers without blocking other outlets. Built-in sliding safety covers protect unused outlets. An 8-ft. cord enables connection to a distant wall outlet and a space-saving right-angle plug allows furniture to be placed flush against the wall. Four keyhole slots on the back of the unit enable the TLP1008TELTV to be wall mounted.
Protection for Multiple Connections
Phone and coaxial connections represent a potential back door through which a damaging surge could reach your equipment. The TLP1008TELTV includes one set of built-in tel/DSL (RJ11) jacks to prevent surges from damaging your modem/fax/phone equipment (6-ft. telephone cord included). A built-in splitter enables you to protect two devices sharing the same phone line. One set of built-in coax jacks prevents surges from damaging your cable/satellite equipment (6-ft. coax cable included).

Finally....a surge protector with well thought out configuration. I use this with my PC. Some of the devices I have connected, have those large, odd-shaped plugs. With past surge protectors, these large plugs would take up the space of 2 outlets. This would force me to plug some of these devices into wall outlets, where they'd also end up covering the 2nd plug outlet.
Not so with this model Tripp Lite. I've connected all of my devices (printer, router, modem, monitor, PC, etc..)with room to spare. The outlets are nicely spaced to accomodate those large clunky plugs of some devices. I highly recommend this model!!

I got this for my entertainment center and it has sufficient ports to connect all the various devices. It is also heavy enough to stay in place and not get pulled around by the different cables like some of the other surge protection strips I have had. The cord is also long enough (maybe a bit too long) so that placement is not a big issue. There is sufficient spacing to plug in almost 5 power warts and not block any outlets. I have not actually had a surge yet (thankfully), so can't comment on how well it would work in that scenario. It does seem pretty well made.

A different model of the Tripp lite recently protected all my equipment from numerous surges due to a faulty electrical service. The Tripp lites were fried but protected my flat panel,computer,stereos,etc. That's why I bought this and because consumer reports rated the brand highly and an electrician told me they are the best.
