Item is light weight, has pretty flexible short cords for easier carrying. However, how many people still use dial up Internet? They could remove the telephone jacks and save more space. It has a LED light that turns on when plugged into a power outlet to indicate it's protecting.

I like this surge suppressor for two reasons: one, I can use it internationally as well as in the US; and, two, since it is in-line it doesn't take up more space at the outlet as do some of the ones that plug into an outlet, e.g., wall, or floor, or lamp base. It is easy to pack for travel since there are no prongs to it. I have another (at-the-wall, non-dual one) by Tripp, and those prongs do retract into the device, but not all of them do so.
