We purchased these 12 Port Patch Panels for our installs if clients do not request or wish to pay the higher price for Leviton... Quality similiar to Leviton at 1/3rd the price. No failures after 30 installs...

I purchased 1 of these several years ago and it really simplified the cobble job the DSL installation guy did. I cut out his mess and ran all my main floor Cat5 DSL lines to this patch panel. Then I used 24" patch cables to connect each to my 8 port Router Switch. Still working flawlessly 3 years later. Now I am buying a second one to tie in my DSL lines from my newly finished basement. The patch panels will allow me to select which eight jacks I want to make active through my router switch without rewiring. Makes my Furnace room wall look nice and neat without a huge rat's nest of cables.

I fully renovated our new house, and in doing so ran cat5 to all the rooms to the basement. I punched down the wiring to this patch panel and mounted it in a distributed wiring box. The panel was easy to use with a punch down tool for me who had little experience doing so & it was well labeled so I didn't have to keep referencing printouts for wiring diagrams. Plus the price was right!

The construction of the patch panel itself is very solid. I have no problem punching down all 12 connections. However, the bracket is a bit on the weak side. The patch panel popped out of the wall bracket easily a few times.

I'd never worked with a patch panel before, and needed a small one for my house. This was the perfect size, and very easy to punch down and mount on the wall. Highly recommended.

I installed a media panel in a new house, and had to figure out the best way to make whole house wiring flexible. This product will do it! The initial setup by the electrical contractor took all of the Cat5 wiring and hard-wired them as though they were all telephone connections (all 14 of them). I had 2 Cat5 connections in each room in the house, and wanted to be able to change the connections at a central point. By rewiring one incoming telephone line at the media panel and installing two patch boards, I am now able to connect all the points with short patch cords running from modems, routers, telephones, etc. These patch boards work great and are great quality.

Being as this is a patch panel, there's not too much to say about it. The punchdowns work just fine, and are capable of handling gigabit Ethernet. I've had my network up for a month using these.

These patch panels are just fine for commercial and personal use. In most cases once a patch panel is installed it isn't touched again unless you are adding or removing a cable. The biggest difference in these panels is the price and the name you don't have to pay for. I'm a professional installer and have used many of these without any problems. You can pay as much as three times this price and get the same functionality as this unit.
