It only took about twice to sample some of it and I fell in love.

THIS IS AN OLD SKOOL S-T-A-P-L-E C.D. IF YOU HAVE THIS, YOU "WERE THERE"; IF YOU "WERE THERE", AND THINK YOU DON'T KNOW THIS, YOU'RE WRONG - YOU DO!; AND, IF THIS IS JUST NOT (AT LEAST) FAMILIAR TO YOU, OR U DON'T LIKE IT!,THEN YOU "W-E-R-E N-O-T T-H-E-R-E" - and, further, you should not be rating trance c.d.'s FROM 1998!, NOT to mention COMPARING THEM to the latest! You might make a veteran FREAK OUT!!..or something. ;) -K

From the title and cover art, I anticipated this would be a kind of cheesy version of a trance compilation. But whoever put it together knows his or her stuff! The mixing is skillful, and most important, the choice of tracks is thoughtful and first-rate. The mix starts out with melodic trance tracks like Libra presents Taylor's "Anomaly--Calling Your Name," and then progresses into harder trance, finally peaking with some "tweaky" acid trance tracks at the end. The individual tracks are short, which some listeners might not like, but the overall result is satisfying--the cd serves as an excellent introduction to progressive (i.e., non-psychedelic) trance for listeners who might be unfamiliar with this exciting musical genre.

Good trance/acid mix. Very popular beats and vocals. This cd is composed colorfully. This baby has PLUR vibes written all over it! It will make any raver remember the good old California nightlife. Reminiscing the outdoor underground. I can smell the earth beneath my feet and see the fire dancers with the many bodies dancing under the moonlight! Ah! Yes this Cd is bound to make the raver in you move! You'll fall in love with it! Good for parties or just background music. Sure to please!

This disc features some well-known surf tunes. But the treat here is the more obscure songs that appeared during the all-too-brief surf music era. Surf n' drag music buffs will really enjoy this collection, which features many tunes rarely found on CD. Fidelity is super, as are the informative sleeve notes. A solid, worthwhile effort.

Essentially, this is a compilation of over 20 different trance/house/acid songs from good, but little known, smaller label bands, mixed so it's seamless (ie, there's no break between songs).
Most of the songs are very very good - some are extremely good (Come with Me by Qatarra, The Calling by Solar Stone, At the Edge of Time by SUN Project), with only 1 being bad (and that's near the very end)
All of the songs are short - the longest being 4 minutes, but there are so many, the cd is filled almost completely.
Anyway, if you like this sort of music, this is a great cd. You get well over an hour of great music. Also probably good for parties, as it's at an almost constant 140 bpm.

If your are like me - you go out and buy 3-4 trance house cd's and maybe one is ok. Well this is by far the best all time mix! Start with the very begining and you won't touch a dial till its done. You will be lost in this true trancy journey. I own 70+ trance cds and this is the one always in the cd waiting to be played again.

I went out buying this cd not knowing at all to expect. When I first heard it I thought it was ok. Now after listening to it about 100 times it it the phattest cd I have in my whole collection. It only took about twice to sample some of it and I fell in love. My friends are hooked on it cuz its so tight. Youll love this cd!
