I truly enjoyed the movie at first sight and I really can relate because I was a high school junior at the time representing the class of 2000. Don't get me wrong...I think the soundtrack fit perfect with the movie, but 9 times out of 10, the best track on the album is normally the last and I definitely think it was the case with this album. The track is entitled, "Greg...

Words cannot describe the profound sense of peace and tranquility which eclipsed my heart upon hearing this soundtrack. Just like "G" said in the motion picture, "We all gotta keep things 'real'". Finer words were never uttered.

When "G" fantasized about becoming the Terminator, I was like "Woah". That's da bomb. This album's...

The track is entitled, "Greg and Cinny" by the late MICHEL COLOMBIER. If you have seen the movie, you will notice that track was played more throughout the movie than any other track. It was played every time "G's" mind wondered about cinny in somewhat like a love fairytale. If you are a real music fanatic like myself, you will notice the breath taking melodies throughout this track and it will make your mind wonder out into inspiration in thoughts of yourself with someone you had a special moment with.

5.0 out of 5 stars This Album in my opinon........, August 28, 2005

Is alright, now let me just say that i dont know what it is about this movie but when i 1st saw it,i rather enjoyed it. for one it was a 1999 film, and i graduated in 99', and i believe that i can relate with deon richmond's character Greg "G" Reed. simply because of this...i know what its like to be in his shoes. every guy has had that special crush before and that want to get with that special girl..and its simply too late. as far as the daydreaming, hell i did it but not like he did. anyway, on to the music, the song "girlfriend" by no authority is perfectly used in this movie, because it can bring back memories for me and my high school years. and the main theme "Break Me Off" by men of vizion, is the perfect last dance song for a prom, as mine was "these are the times" by dru hill. i would recommend this album, and the movie as well, hell i have my copy. and i watch it anytime that i need a good laugh because it really is a funny movie. and as "G" would say "I'm Just Keepin' It Real."

When "G" fantasized about becoming the Terminator, I was like "Woah". That's da bomb. This album's tight, but not as good as Diddy's new joint.

3.0 out of 5 stars The slow jams really touched home with its up-front lyrics., May 17, 1999

The tracks on the CD and the movie itself harmonized perfectly with that old high school feeling of crushes, player mentality and those games people used to play in the hallway that you never missed or thought you would miss until after graduation and prom night when you said good-bye to your homeboys and homegirls and got that first reality shock of the independant world. Girlfriend was one of those songs that kind of reminded me of "Beauty" of Dru Hill in which the lyrics and thoughts were simple in the fact that it told that it was all about a girl who caught your attention in a way and or reason that just seems so different from others that you had to make it more than just a vision in your mind or opportunity never taken. "After" by 7 Mile... well it pretty much reminds me of that feeling of "Even though we had our ups and downs and never knew how those good days out weighed all of our bad days. And now I miss you like crazy." The theme song I must admit that I didn't follow enough on it to comment but booty shakin' songs... what would a movie about high school teens be with out a little twurkin'.
