This CD is really wonderful, very authentic. It gives a great impression of feeling, music and literary life in the middle age in European region. I am looking forward to use it within a presentation in "Richard Wagner Verband Linz/Oberösterreich" about literary roots of "Tristan und Isolde".

This is s a really neat medieval song cycle telling the ancient story of Tristan & Iseult. The medieval/renaissance songs and chants are interesting and fun to listen to, and the intersperced spoken poetry really added by breaking up the unusual, and to modern ears, somewhat monotonic chords. I'd recommend you get this album if you'd like to try something a little different, or if you like ancient music.
