In filmaker/icon/sexpert Tristan Taormino's first installment of her "Chemistry" series, she cleverly uses the sort of real world/big brother approach to allow for raw human emotion and genuine biological urges to come out on screen.

7 extremely attractive porn stars spend 36 hours together in the same house, and the result is the OPPOSITE of the usual over-directed, contrived adult films, where the positions are being called out from off-camera. The beauty is that this type of Reality Porn is the hot kind of "organic" sex that is only caught on film when the performers are able to do things their own way, on their terms. Yes, there are inside interviews with the actors, and confessionals, both providing behind-the-scenes insights into the culture of their industry. Honestly speaking, though, I'd be lying if I didn't confess to fast-forwarding a little, because the sex scenes were smokin', and I wanted to see what they were going to come up with next.

Using the analogy of a world-acclaimed chef and a porn star, they both are the best in their respective fields. When the chef goes home, he uses the talents from his work to create delicious, creative meals at home, from his own mental menu. In the same way, when not being micro-managed by a director, porn stars have the gifts to create the most gourmet sex scenes, when they are having the sex that they would have for themselves in real life. As a woman, I think I can tell when another woman is really getting off, and when they are faking it for the benefit of the viewing audience. In this video, there was absolutely no doubt in my mind that these beautiful women are having having authentic orgasms (can I hear an amen?!?!). You can tell all of the performers are genuinely turned on, not just acting, and moaning on cue. "Chemistry" is the next best thing to being able to actually see into the bedroom windows of some of the hottest porn stars, and become privy what they really do behind closed doors.

Imagine--seriously hot porn stars are housemates for a delicious 36 hours in a sequestered Southern California house, and you have an intimate cinematic view. There are no restrictions, no script--so no lines to learn, time is unlimited, the vibe is playful, low-key, and they have their choice of partner(s). An added bonus is the interview footage with the performers, revealing and personal. This is the set-up for Tristan Taormino's Chemistry series, and does it deliver. Chemistry Vol. 1 was Taormino's first new film for her own production company, made for Vivid--and with it she became the first woman to win an AVN award for Best Gonzo Release as well as a Feminist Porn Award in Toronto.

This movie's premise is sort of Big Brother XXX. It's fun to see how porn stars interact off-script. Chemistry is the best of both the studio and amateur porn worlds, it has the beautiful people and quality lighting, film, etc. from studio porn, and also has the real quality of amateur. Plus, none of the terrible fake acting or unbelievable orgasms you see in both.

It's hot, and interesting too, even if you do fast forward to the good stuff:)

let me start off by saying, Miss Taormino had a good idea with this, and usually, her products are pretty decent (mostly somewhat attractive women, not horrible looking guys), but THIS is not what she promised this to be. it turns out, chemistry is scripted---there were certain positions the main scenes were supposed to have. the "perv" cam---well, to put it nicely was not worth two shites in a bucket. very low quality, usually couldn't see much of anything going on--seriously, i believe i've seen better porn for free on the internet than i did in this movie. now don't get me wrong, it wasn't totally horrible, there were a few scenes that were enjoyable, and it did have MIKA TAN in it, and MARIE LUV, both of whom are completely amazing at what they do and very attractive. needless to say, there was a variety of locations, positions, and groupings of people, so it wasn't the SAME people every time, i just wish the camera work was better so i could really appreciate what was going on, some of the lighting wasn't flattering at all, and some of the positionings of the camera could have passed a few scenes off for soft-core.

THIS IS A PRETTY GOOD FLICK,TOO MUCH BABBLE FOR MY OPINION.DON'T LIKE BLACK ON WHITE,TOO MUCH OF THAT IN THIS DVD,JUST SKIP PAST THAT PERVERSION AND NOT A BAD FLICK.
