4.0 out of 5 stars Great for the kids to use-fun!
Works pretty good. The kids love it, can use it with ease. works better if you spray interior with Pam first. You can use one to four eggs at a time.

3.0 out of 5 stars Eggwave
Scrambled eggs will blow up all over the microwave or ooze out of the vent. Hard boiled is still uncooked underneath. Eggs didn't look to tasty. Fed them to my dog !

5.0 out of 5 stars wonderful time saver, November 4, 2010
This review is from: Tristar Eggwave Microwave Egg Cooker
I looked a long time before I bought one. I should have bought one much earlier. These make excellent scrambled and hard boiled eggs without frying or boiling. I want to post some of the cooking times for people who have lost the manual .I have seen many post from people who have misplaced the instructions.

EGG WAVE cooking times
egg units 1 2 3 4
hard boiled 45 85 125 165
soft boiled 30 60 85 120
poached 35 65 95 125 All time in seconds
egg whites 35 70
scrambled 45 90
egg wavelette 50 100

always open the top vent to cook so the steam can escape and remember to tighten the top securely.

This review is from: Tristar Eggwave Microwave Egg Cooker
I bought the product five or six years ago from a late-night TV offer. It was inexpensive and did exactly what I hoped it would--cooked eggs in a microwave. I'm not an egg chef and don't care about fancy egg dishes, just wanted to cook the eggs quickly, with little mess and no fat. What could go wrong? Nothing goes wrong. You just adjust the seconds in the microwave according to how you like the eggs; if you don't screw the top on tight it may pop off in the oven, but after that, it's foolproof.

Over the years the pieces are all lost--each cooker needs a bottom and a lid--so I now want to replace them, and first choice would be to get another of these things. I am sorry to see that this item is currently marked "unavailable."

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally!!!!!!, April 18, 2006
This review is from: Tristar Eggwave Microwave Egg Cooker
For years, I've been searching for a way to cook an egg in
a microwave. With the Egg Wave, my dreams have come true. It
was so hard to cook an egg in a pan, I gave it up. But now I can
enjoy eggs again. It even comes with 3 extra Egg Waves so I can cook up to 4 eggs at once!! Im going to eat some right now. Incredible!!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars read the reviews first before using this item, September 27, 2010
This review is from: Tristar Eggwave Microwave Egg Cooker
My husband bought this egg cooker for me due to my having high blood pressure and the need to lower fats in my diet. I use the egg separator, which works quite well, to make my egg white omelets. I did read the reviews first and found that spraying the inside of the cooker first did keep the eggs from sticking. I also read the instructions that come with the device.

I found that after shaking up the eggs using the scrambled egg insert, that by letting them set for a minute or so, I go off to get coffee or something else, and when I get back the egg has settled down into the cooking area. I have also found that there is less runny yolks if I stop the microwave in the middle of cooking and move the egg around with a spoon in the cooker it also will cook more evenly.

I like the idea of not frying an egg, it is a wonderful food, complete without adding oil. Only when I did microwave an egg it was rubbery, hard, and almost impossible to clean the cooking utensil. This egg cooker prevents all that.

I gave this product a 4 star since I had to stop and use a spoon to re-scramble my scrambled eggs to get them to cook right. Otherwise this is a great product, and well worth the cost.

4.0 out of 5 stars Beats the frying pan, June 10, 2008
This review is from: Tristar Eggwave Microwave Egg Cooker
I am not an egg connoisseur. I like eggs as a nice snack when i'm hungry and it's not mealtime. But with a frying pan, I made eggs like twice a year - it just wasn't worth it! Eggs with the eggwave do not come out perfectly every times, but pretty close. Eggs are 95% perfect 95% of the time, if that makes sense. And clean-up is a breeze. (Put in dishwasher) The yolk separator works great too. The eggs end up muffin shaped and fall right out of the eggwave onto your plate - to me, they taste fine - i just gobble them down, no salt, no pepper - like i said, this isn't for anyone who wants a fancy or delicate tasting egg, but for the rest of us, it sure beats clean-up! Note: Don't try to make more than one type of egg in two different eggwaves - disaster city!

This little product cooks a hard boiled egg in 30 seconds. It's great if you need one or two eggs for a meal or to add to a salad and sure beats boiling water on a stove for 15 or 20 minutes!

The Eggwave is a wonderful way to cook eggs. I found that the recommended time for cooking eggs needed to be reduced with my microwave, once I had the times down the eggs are perfect. Quick way to cook eggs, with very minimial clean-up!

4.0 out of 5 stars Works like a charm!, January 12, 2012

This review is from: Tristar Eggwave Microwave Egg Cooker
For reasons too long to explain, I don't have a stove. All my cooking is done in the microwave, crock pot or the George Foreman grill. For me (and what I eat), it works ... except that I couldn't cook eggs. And I love eggs.

Then I found the Tristar Eggwave Microwave Egg Cooker. I've used it about 5 times and it works like a charm. I haven't tried scrambled eggs, but hard-boiled/soft-boiled eggs turn out quite well. You might find that you need to decrease or increase cooking times, depending on your specific microwave oven. The instruction manual has a table of recommended cooking times for specific results. You can cook up to 4 eggs at a time.

Using the egg waves is pretty easy - just make SURE to lock it or you'll have egg splattering all over your microwave. The egg waves are easy to clean - just load in the top shelf of the dishwasher.
