After 30 min on my mead I could no longer take the pressure being squeezed on my temples. There is an adjustment up and down for the ear cups, I just wished they had given a width adjuster on the head set also. They squeeze so Tight once over the head that it is impossible to wear unless you have a skinny Head. One other very Frustrating problem is the short length of the cord .. you have to be very close to your computer, I am going to buy an extension USB soon to make it possible to get a little more room to move. The sound is very good if only I could wear them more then a few min. at a time.

This product stated on the box that the software was included but it was not. Had problems trying to download from manufacturer. Did not like windows 7. Once that was solved worked great.

I had great things about these headsets if you got a working one. Well mine works fairly well, but even though this is a larger than average headset on the outside, if you have a large skull it feels somewhat crushing. Maybe if the top pad was not so stiff it would help a little bit. It does come with another set thats vinyl or faux leather instead of cloth. I will give it a try. The sound quality is pretty good, does take a little playing with the settings to get the hang of it and a good smooth sound. Music sounds good, and games sounds great, you cannot put it at full volume without going deaf, which compared to my last headset a gamecon 377, which at max i still could not hear everything. The mic is cheap, and just snaps in and is non-adjustable set in place, numerous people say in game that they cannot hear me, ive tried a bunch of settings no fixes yet. Have had it 2 weeks and still not used to the control panel that hangs from the headset. I cannot speak for the other products, but i was hoping these would fit fine, ive owned many cheaper headsets for one third the cost of these or less that were much more comfortable, and adjusted bigger. If the other padding helps or removing it makes a difference all together i will add a update, but as for now im wishing i had returned them to the store.
Pros. looks cool sounds fantastic lots of adjustments Cons. very tight fit for some people mic non adjustable, having trouble multiplayer games of the sound quality and loudness of the voice, even with the levels maxed. no clip on the control panel, its heavy and unless its in your lap it will tug on your neck stupid blue led on the control panel, if the lights in the room are off you cannot read the controls because its blinding you when its dark. no dial for volume, its a mushy switch which you push left or right. Its not very responsive instantly most of the time, a simple dial would have been better. mute button for mic is too easily pressed.

Excellent headset. The sound isn't the quality I wanted but sufficient. Well built. I like the Audio FX better for sound. The quality of FX is very poor however. If FX improves the quality I will go back to the FX.

In my opinion, these are great headphones but then I'm no audio expert. I got them primarily for gaming. Easy to install (just make sure your system uses them as the audio in and out), comfortable although a little heavy (I've worn them for up to four hours straight with no discomfort), and the sound is excellent and fully adjustable with a 10-slider equalizer and 12 presets. Easy to work controls on the headphone cable keep them in reach. The boom mic quality appears to be good but since I don't have a "radio" voice, nothing is going to make me sound like Morgan Freeman or Carl Kasell.
The previous headphones I owned piggy-backed onto my speaker cables coming out of my audio card and the sound quality didn't seem as good but maybe I didn't have their settings optimized. My major gripe stems from my being a little colorblind; the mic on/mute indicator lights switch from blue to purple which is almost impossible for me to distinguish. More contrasting colors (ie. red for off/blue for on) or two lights (on/off) would work better for me. |
