otherwise very satisfied, and above all no ear buds or "Borg like " devises on your head.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love this thing, September 17, 2008
This review is from: Tritton AX Visor Bluetooth Handsfree Car Kit (Wireless Phone Accessory)
Like all new gadgets, it took me a short while to figure this thing out, but once I did, WOW! Being on the visor beats the heck out of having something stuck in your ear. You can look up and see who is calling you with the caller ID feature. If you want to answer the call you just touch the unit. You don't do anything to end the call, just let the other end hang up. Nice.
I think it sounds great and everyone says they can hear me fine. When I exit the vehicle I turn the unit off which makes the battery charge last forever. It has a bunch of other cool features, too many to go into now. I have tried several other blue tooth devices and was not happy with them. Try this and I think you'll be satisfied.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product Tritton AX Visor, September 25, 2008

I purchased a Tritton AX Visor, a few weeks ago, as a result of the Hands-Free law in CA. The AX Visor is easy to use. The speaker is great. My son is very quiet on the phone so it was always difficult to hear him when I was in the car; with the AX Visor that problem is solved. The best part of the device is the auto disconnect feature.
I recommend this product! Thank you!

4.0 out of 5 stars great hands free device, March 28, 2009

i bought this to work with my iphone and i love it. it was easy to connect, easy to use and people on the other end of the call say they can hear me just fine! no background noise. my only suggestion would be that if you plan on parking your car for a day or two, turn it off. you won't have to charge it as often.

I have purchased serveral so called, "Hands Free Car Kit" in the past but done met up to my expectation of hands free. I gave it one more shot at it when I found this Handsfree product. I found it easy to setup and the sound, both receiving and sending are clear, great product! In fact I just purchased another one for my wife.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good features, but average product., July 7, 2009
This review is from: Tritton AX Visor Bluetooth Handsfree Car Kit (Wireless Phone Accessory)
After reading the great reviews here, I was excited about this product. I have been comparing this to the Motorola T505 and in the end, they both have their flaws and you have to decide what is the lesser of two evils.

Pros: Stylish, OLED display for visual readout, controls are accessible from the front (on the T505 there are some on the back of the device), automatically connects after car is turned on (engine vibration triggers sensor), uses mini-USB charger (same as my phone), no lights at night blinking at you.

Cons: Power button, volume buttons are too small. I particularly had a hard time with power on/off slider button. Speaker was so/so. Mic isn't sensitive enough (or maybe too sensitive) for Voice dialing (using my phone's software was horrible).

I really wanted the Tritton Ax Visor because of its ability to automatically turn on and connect when it felt your engine turn on. I was not liking the T505 where I actually had to remember to hit the power button each time I got into the car. But in the end, the trade offs were too great.

So, I was hoping I wouldn't have to mess with the power slider button but apparently, I had learned the hard way that when the car is off and parked, even with no connection to the cell phone, it was still somehow on. Two days later, the Ax Visor was dead. I'm not sure if the vibration sensor is just too sensitive (maybe a car passing by my parked car or the a good gust of wind could set it off?).

Also, as for call quality, if I am traveling down a highway (and mind you I don't own a luxury car, I have definite road noise), some calls were very hard to hear. I tried to turn up the volume which is hard because of the small buttons (and not something exactly safe where you are going down the highway) but even at the max volume, it was hard to hear people sometimes. Likewise, I was using the voice dial commands on my phone (a BB Curve) and the Ax Visor misunderstood the names I said a lot. Of course, I do have lots of foreign sounding names in my contact list, but I tried this on the Moto T505 and it almost always got it right the first time. Of course, when at a stoplight on a regular street, it worked fine. That makes me think the noise cancelling software on the Ax Visor may not be so good. I asked people if they could tell if I was using a bluetooth speakerphone and they said they could tell I was off in the distance (but the Tritton Ax was on the visor in front of me). I asked the same question on the Moto T505 and most people said they couldn't tell the difference. This makes me believe that the speaker and mics on the Moto T505 are just better.

In the end, it's great that the device can auto connect to your phone when you get in, but the call quality and problems with voice calling made it a deal breaker and I retuned it. While the Moto T505 isn't as pretty, it's much more functional and while it's going to be annoying to remember to power it on everytime I get into the car, at least it works. If only there was a product that combine the good speaker/mic/noise cancelling on the Moto T505 with the good looks of the Tritton Ax Visor and it's auto connect when you turn on the car, then that would have been the best device out there.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tritton works like a Champ in my wife's Escalade!, January 3, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Tritton AX Visor Bluetooth Handsfree Car Kit (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I received this in two days from Amazon and was happy to get it under the tree for my wife in time for Christmas Day! My wife really didn't ask for this as a Christmas gift but I bought it for her because I knew she would like the bluetooth feature to use with her iPhone in car. When she opened gift, she wasn't real excited because it wasn't clothes or jewelry.... but after a few days of use in her car, she likes the features of the auto turn on when it recognizes her car is started and then it auto syncs with iPhone. She also likes the caller id display in cool blue LED. She also says that it is very clear and other people (including myself) can't tell she is on bluetooth speakerphone. Overall, very satisfied with my Tritton AX Visor purchase from Amazon!

1.0 out of 5 stars Worked for 13 months and died - no more Trittons for me, December 14, 2010
This review is from: Tritton AX Visor Bluetooth Handsfree Car Kit (Wireless Phone Accessory)
This item worked ok for 13 months and then audio died completely (neither beeps nor voice through the speaker.)
The device was rarely in use and was always treated very gently.
For me, such a short lifetime means one star, regardless of features.
Companies tend to lower their quality standards and in my book it should reflect in overall ranking. It means I would not trust Tritton with any other product as well.
