5.0 out of 5 stars triumph motorcle restoration hints and tips by an expert
not just another feeble attempt at a restoration guide. this book is the definitive work. provided tremendous assistance to me in my mechanical strugles with a basket case bonneville restoration. still have to get your hands greasy!

1.0 out of 5 stars Not worth over $50.00
This book is a disappointment. it has nothing to do with restorations. This book covers the difference and the history of each model. The photos are black and white, for $175.00 you would expect colour. The original list price was $29.95; I doubt it is worth over $50.00 today.

A better buy for restorations would be Triumph 500-750cc Twins 1963-1979 Service-Repair-Performance manual by Clymer Publications,

oh well ripped off

This book would would have to come close to being the bible for authentic and original restorations of these models and years of Triumph motor cycles. The information, pictures (period and recent), and technical information is very comprehensive and accurate. As a qualified mechanic and Triumph enthusiast, I have been involved in repairs and restorations on these machines professionally for many years and used this book to great effect.Over the years I have built, ridden and raced these bikes (and my T150V Trident) in the classic and post-classic classes very successfully. The author, David Gaylin, has also collaborated with another enthusiast, Lindsay Brooke to produce "Triumph in America", and along with Brooke's "Triumph Racing Motorcycles in America" these make a companion trio of not only technical information, but are a compelling and enlightening read of the history of the factory, dealers, men and machines from this era. I highly recommend them. Dirk Jeal.
