Book Description

May 2003
Triumph Over Grief chronicles a twenty-year period--from a life-threatening problem in 1982 to the present. This story speaks to those who wrestle with loss; those who recognize the utter fragility of life, and those who move on in spite of the ravages of grief. Parts of this story seems too raw and private to share, but with honesty details the path from darkness to light.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loss, Grief, Hope!, July 13, 2003
By
Maria Biediger (San Antonio, Tx USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Triumph Over Grief (Paperback)
Joyce Williams' account of her encounter with grief in her own life may appear unbelievable at first. It seems unreal that one single family could be touched with such pain and come out of it triumphantly! As you read her account of loss after loss in the span of over twenty years you sense all along a strength that is far beyond human, and it is; because it is not humanly possible to endure such painful challenges without an unequally strong and amazing faith. Joyce re-defines the meaning of possible and impossible, and also re-defines the meaning of faith because she lives her faith every day with amazing courage. She takes the challenges head on, and she asks her God to carry her when she can't possibly take any more steps on her own. To anyone who has ever suffered the loss of a spouse, a child, a grandchild, a parent, or a friend this book will be inspiring and uplifting.

5.0 out of 5 stars Faith and Love Triumph, July 28, 2003
By
Lisa Cox (Dallas, Texas) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Triumph Over Grief (Paperback)
Joyce Williams offers a strong, courageous story that confirms what so many of us want to believe - faith and love will see you through even the greatest pain. While reading this book, the question always present is "Why was one family, especially one mother, dealt so much tragedy and pain?" By books' end, the question answered is "How do you deal with such adversity?"
Mrs. Williams shares how her faith in God, and the constant love of family and friends gave strength and comfort at the hardest times. This is a book you should always have by your side. It offers comfort and reassurance to each of us when we have a loss; it offers guidance on the importance of extending love to those who are in need. God bless you, Joyce.
