It can't compare to the original Trivial Pursuit, but for a specialty product, this is pretty good. There are some modern authors/books that I had never heard of, but the children's and classics categories were answerable, for the most part. Like other versions of Trivial Pursuit, there were definitely favored authors/books that came up several times, which makes guessing a little easier. My main problem was getting my non-English major friends to play with me...

Okay, so I have an agenda when I play this game...as a bookseller, I am interested in reinforcing my knowledge of books and book trivia. But even if that wasn't the case, I would have enjoyed this game anyway for the delightful sense of nostalgia the "childrens' books" section gave me! Yes, it does have a smaller format than the other trivial pursuit games, but I found it refreshingly light-hearted. This is a trivia you will have fun playing with anyone in your family!

For book nerds like myself, it was very exciting to find a board games about books (why isn't there a sceneit! book edition?). It is very fun to play, however, don't expect anyone to win, even if they are English majors. Some of the questions are about classics or children's lit. and therefore easier. But other questions are about obscure books that probably no one has ever read.
