i love trivial pursuit and i have played at least 8 different versions. Thisi s one of the best. All trivia games eventually become dated so it is necessary to update. some of the updates have been lesser quality than others. I grew up with the original and it was great but no one knows the entertainment category anymore. the 10th anniverary and millenium edition were pretty good but all the ones in between were junk. this one is a modern classic.

though the questions are much more relevant to today, than with my old one (I got sick of every other answer being the Former USSR), there are an awful lot of repeats.
I like the vibrant colors and the board though. If only I could find more questions to add to it...

This edition was awesome. We played it with our kids and they could actually answer some of the questions because they were about people and things that actually happened in their lifetimes. it also contains older questions like you find in the older editions. The only complaint is that there aren't enough cards for questions as in the original versions. The color changes on the categories are a little confusing because some of the original category colors switched places. History and Entertainment are the same colors. The new wild card category is fun. The best part is the improvement on the pie pieces which now have a ridge on top that makes it impossible to put the pies in upside down or get stuck when you put them in sideways.
