Product Description

Editorial Review

What food gives Popeye strength? What country calls its native inhabitants "aborigines"? What street sport sees cuts and scrapes from falls called "munchies"? Answer correctly and you just might score a wedge in the junior version of the wildly popular Trivial Pursuit. Using the same game play as the adult edition--players move their pieces around the board, answering questions in hopes of collecting all six scoring wedges--this kid-friendly format includes categories just for the 8-and-older crowd. Young trivia buffs will be challenged and entertained by this lively game of wits and memory. But the real fun comes when adults try to join the game. So, Pop, what are Wakko, Yakko, and Dot better known as? The game, for two to four players or teams, includes a 20-by-20-inch folding gameboard, question-and-answer cards, dice, four tokens, and 24 scoring wedges. Oh, yes, Wakko et al. are Animaniacs! --Emilie Coulter

5.0 out of 5 stars I highly recommend this game to all families!, July 24, 1999

We have a very large, very competitive family, and when we are together for any holiday or special occasion, we play games. Trivial Pursuit has been one of the best, and the Trivial Pursuit Junior Game has allowed the children to not just play, but often times win. We find the game to be fun and educatinal. We simply keep two sets of cards, one from the Junior Version and the other from one of the Adult Versions, for the various age groups, that way the whole family joins in. It is a delightful way to spend an evening.

My grandchildren and I like to play this game along with their parents. Some of the questions are ones children might know but grownups don't so it is evenly matched. The last time I played, my 11 year old grandson won. I highly recommend this as a family game.

4.0 out of 5 stars Suitable for non-English speakers, August 23, 1999

Often other editions (Genus, Millennium) are too sophisticated, some non-English speakers cannot enjoy. But this is the game even they can enjoy. Not only are the questions easier to answer, but the language used is much simpler. We play it in our English lessons, not to mention in parties!
