5.0 out of 5 stars I highly recommend this game to all families!

3.0 out of 5 stars Okay for very young ones
(I'm writing from the perspective of a 35 year-old.) You don't get a whole lot of questions (two small decks), and we have come across a few that do not match the category they are supposed to represent (e.g., a question about painters in the "games" category). The game seems to have been put together quickly and cheaply. You don't get plastic "pie" pieces as in the...

We have a very large, very competitive family, and when we are together for any holiday or special occasion, we play games. Trivial Pursuit has been one of the best, and the Trivial Pursuit Junior Game has allowed the children to not just play, but often times win. We find the game to be fun and educatinal. We simply keep two sets of cards, one from the Junior Version and the other from one of the Adult Versions, for the various age groups, that way the whole family joins in. It is a delightful way to spend an evening.

My grandchildren and I like to play this game along with their parents. Some of the questions are ones children might know but grownups don't so it is evenly matched. The last time I played, my 11 year old grandson won. I highly recommend this as a family game.

4.0 out of 5 stars Suitable for non-English speakers, August 23, 1999

Often other editions (Genus, Millennium) are too sophisticated, some non-English speakers cannot enjoy. But this is the game even they can enjoy. Not only are the questions easier to answer, but the language used is much simpler. We play it in our English lessons, not to mention in parties!

(I'm writing from the perspective of a 35 year-old.) You don't get a whole lot of questions (two small decks), and we have come across a few that do not match the category they are supposed to represent (e.g., a question about painters in the "games" category). The game seems to have been put together quickly and cheaply. You don't get plastic "pie" pieces as in the adult version, you get cardboard slices that you set on top of pictures of the pies that are drawn on the corners of the gameboard (not a major complaint but the colors of the drawings exactly match the colors of the cardboard pie-slice markers, making it hard to see them). The questions include multiple choice answers, so it's accordingly easier to get them. Of course you can simply omit the choices when reading the questions if you want to increase the level of difficulty. It's not a bad game, but it's not an excellent game either. Middle of the road. Probably best for kids under 12.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Game!, January 12, 2003

I love playing Trivial Pursuit Junior. The questions are made for kids, so just from going to school for 7 years I can figure out many of the answers. I don't reccommend getting this for kids of different ages to play together, though, because the older person almost always wins. Like other people said, once you play the game about 10 times you end up memorizing most of the answers, and it would be much appreciated if Trivial Pursit made a booster pack of cards. The only other bad thing about the game is that the cardboard wedges get bent from handling them.

4.0 out of 5 stars good fun for all, April 27, 2002

We bought this for our kids (then 7 and 5) for Christmas. The 7 year old loves playing it, but the 5 year old finds it frustrating that he doesn't know the answers. We have to play with an adult on each team, and even then it is uneven. I don't like the way they have changed to counters and paper "wedges", so we just use ours from our adult game.

I have an 8 yr. old and a 5 yr. old. This game challanges the 5 yr. old to get as many answers right as her brother. I am very impressed with the wide variety of information in the questions.I do however need replacement cards because we have played it so much we are memorizing the questions/answers. What a fun, family game.

My 7-year-old daughter and I love to play this game together. She is learning so much from it! We've played it so many times that we really need new questions, though.

This is a very fun game. No offense to anyone, but the person that said that these questions are for five-year-olds is definetely wrong, unless that person is a genious. Most of the questions are NOT very easy. OK, some are kind of simple, but most are pretty hard. There are all kinds of different questions, that some people who are watch football and baseball all day would probably know. I highly reccomend this game. It's a fun way to get smart.
