I was really disappointed with this game. I have had the original Trivial Pursuit for a long time and really enjoy it. This time they did not have any celebrities read the questions, and put a time limit on answering the question. Not only did they not read the question out load, but they put it at the top of the screen in a small rectangle box and you have to get close to the TV just to read it, with the old Trivial Pursuit you can go back and have them read the question again, and no time limit. In the new game most of your time limit is gone and you have to rush to give the answer. The geography questions show a map with 4 or 5 places marked, but do not tell you the name of those 4 or 5 places before you choose. So it is hard sometimes to figure exactly where you are, by then the time limit is over. I expected a lot more from EA sports.

Very good game with tons of interesting questions. We've played it quite a few times, and no question has yet to repeat. Hourse of fun.

I purchased Trivial Pursuit for Playstation 2 because I wanted to compare it to the Board Game. To my surprise Ifound that it stayed true to the Board Game and made it more fun to play.
I highly reccommend the game to trivia buffs

4.0 out of 5 stars Good version of the game, November 10, 2009

I got this game about the time it came out in 2009. The game allows you to play with others or by yourself. So far, I've played the solo game where you try to beat your previous time. I've cleared the board in under 30 minutes, which is quite a feat. In the solo version, the blocks with a category you've gotten a wedge for "disappear" from the board, making it smaller with each category you clear. Nice visual effects. Haven't played the other versions yet, but I plan to eventually. IIRC, the categories are the same as the most recent Genus editions.

The game allows for betting if you have more than one person. You can also save the results of a game and continue it if you use a memory card, which also cuts down on repeating questions. Some of the Geography questions are visual (maps shown). There's nobody reading the questions in this version. Since I can read, I don't have a problem with that. Even with four multiple choices, this game can still humble the best of trivia experts. A good game with nice visuals.
