Too many repeat questions. Save your money. Rent it.

Trivial Pursiut using celebs to ask the questions seemed like a good idea but its execution is dire. In classic mode the questions repeat after just a few throws. In fact I heard the same question three times during just one game - I guess it was too dificult to code a routine to ensure you don't hear the same one twice. Add to that, the annoying little asides the celebrities throw in for you, and well the novelty of the questions being read by John Cleese, Whoopi Goldberg et al soon wears off. You can only hear that little quip about the size of a country so many times. Water torcher indeed.

Sometimes the questions aren't read out loud too; I guess they only had access to the talent for half an hour. This renders the game strangely silent at times - as through the audio is somehow broken or the celebs nipped out for coffee.

Flash mode is kind of fun for a while - it's a basic ladder challenge - first to the top wins and you get a choice of two catagories (no dice rolling). But it's not interesting enough to save this product.

Unhinged mode requires two controllers - you *can't* use one and pass it around which meant it was never played.

All in all the beauty of Trivial Pursuit is lost here - and that is the interesting and varied QUESTIONS are the star. That's what keeps the whole concept of TP afloat and when the questions are uninsteresting and repetitive it leaves you wishing you were playing something else.

This game is a lot of fun, and just like the board game (at least in classic mode). It has 3 modes, classic, unhinged, and flash. I have played classic and flash. Multiple choice or no answers given.

My only complaint is you cannot play the unhinged mode with one player. You have to have two.

The game itself in any mode poses a challenge for most players and groups. Although in classic mode it does seem to be slow and drawn out. I would rather have the questions in a text form on the screen vs the celeb readers. It would be especially easier to read the question than try to hear over several kids. Expect to have several hours available to play more than two people and win the game.

Graphics are good and you save time from having to count the spaces to decide which direction you want to head. Unless you have a very large TV screen, found font size on questions very small (not related to age/degradation of eyesight). Questions seem more difficult than those from the board game. Found it annoying that the controller needs to be passed back and forth between players (perhaps having dual controls is a setting I haven't yet found?). Played only once since buying it a few months ago. Will probably go back to board game.

I disagree with several of the reviewers. At least in my husband and I's case, we have not had many repeat questions at all and we've been playing the game for over a year from time to time. I imagine if you sat there and played it again and again, that would happen, but it happens with the board game, too, eventually. I like that you can bet against or for another person getting the question right and there's a lot of fun features that keep the game interesting for everyone, even when it's not your turn. As a bonus, it's a great game for families or couples to play together on the XBox without having to blow anything up or know how to karate fight animals.

I actually can't comment on the specifics of the game becuase it won't load on my computer. I found out this game can't use SoundBlaster Live (a very common audio card) by spending a lot of time on hold and working with user support. This was a toll call. No toll free number here. My computer meets all the stated minimum requirements, but that didn't help me. Atari suggested that I replace my sound card to support their game.
