His New Favorite Bedtime Story,
By
This review is from: I, Trixie, Who is Dog (Hardcover)
I have always been a fan of Dean Koontz and yet had not seen anything about this children's book. For Christmas a friend of the family's gave the book to my little boy; a 2 year old. It is OUR favorite bed time story now and I am loving every evening with it. Jak loves the "puppies" and says hello to "Wixie" every evening. Thank you to Dean Koontz for channeling your inner child for our children. Please Thank Trixie as well.

Dog Wisdom,

This review is from: I, Trixie, Who is Dog (Hardcover)
Themes: friendship, respect
Content area: Language: rhyme, alliteration, repeated phrases, point of view. Trixie Koontz loves life, and wants her readers to as well (even if they aren't a dog). Written from a dog's perspective, Trixie lays out her reasoning for why there are cats, cows, sheep and others in the world. Importantly, Trixie reminds us to dream big and be the best at whoever you are.

Spoil you dog,

This review is from: I, Trixie, Who is Dog (Hardcover)
Trixie is a special dog who is allowed to do many things a capable dog can do, but she dreams of doing more. Just about any adult who has owned a dog can find something to identify with in this 'children's' book. Good for lighthearted laughter and memories of that special dog from back when. The illustrations match the tone of the words. A fun book for adults.

A delightfully fun story,

Dean Koontz's I, TRIXIE WHO IS DOG receives Janet Cleland's fine drawings as it tells of dog Trixie, who gets to be a dog and appreciate the charms of a dog's life. Author Dean Koontz reveals the joys of doghood through the eyes of his golden retriever Trixie in this delightfully fun story.

I, Trixie, Who is Dog by Dean Koontz pictures by Janet ClelandDean Koontz best friend and loyal companion Trixie is the center focus in this children's book. Dean Koontz is the author of many New York Times best sellers like "The Bad Place", "Odd Thomas", "Intensity", and many others. I used to be a huge fan of Koontz but lately his books are not as out there as they used to be. The Odd Thomas books are the closest to what he used to be but books 2-4 are kind of a let down in that series. Koontz has wrote several childrens books either about his dog or Santa. In this story we find Trixie talking about how great her life is and why its good to be a dog. She makes sure that everyone knows that not everyone is meant to be a dog. She goes through a list of other animals and why they are there for the amusement for the dog. This was a different book. Some rhyming and some awkwardly written sentences (because Trixie is narrating). Over all the book was okay, the illustrator kept the book alive over the story. Dean Koontz dog Trixie past away a year or so ago so reading this now, and having a dog myself, makes me feel a little more understanding of the closeness and comfort you get from a dog.

Another marvelous book by Trixie Koontz. I love these books and through them I have learned to love this dog. She was an amazing animal who could teach the whole world how to love and live in peace. I was devastated to learn she had passed on to the Rainbow Bridge. Her books live on as she will in many hearts.

the book starts off great then kinda just gets lost. The story line really is like it is written by a hyperactive lab...all over the place

I would love to see more of his books made into movies. I can see it when I read them. Just like I did with M. C. & T. C. & J. G.
