This book reves up to full tilt around page 3 and doesn't stop until the last paragraph. If you are looking for 250 pages of action, this is a book for you.

The plot takes the reader for stops on three continents and has the series protagonist face off with a myriad of enemies. Although a final show down between Mack Bolan and the "bad guys" is telegraphed well in advance, there are a few good twists to keep the reader off balance. This book was written in 1988, so some of the material (such as the dreams of re-uniting Germany) are a little dated, but other elements of the plot could have been torn from today's headlines.

I have only two bits of constructive criticism. First, other than the fact that Bolan dislikes arms dealers, we don't have much charachter development for the big guy - not even a good discription of what he looks like. Now I realize this is a long running series, and these descriptions may seem redundant, but each book has the potential to be someone's "jump on point" to the series. Even long time fans like to learn something new about their favorite tough guy. Also the German antagonists use too much American slang to be viable.

The two above points are really minor ones and I would encourage Bolan fans to pick this one up and read it if they can find it.
