This sawhorse is absolutely the best foldable and portable sawhorse on the market, and it is also one of the most inexpensive.
The metal angle iron hinged legs with gripper teeth make these horses extremely strong yet easy to transport. Also, these leg stands can be used with any length of 2X dimensional lumber to make a sawhorse that fits any need.
For strength, durability, simplicity of design and flexibility and ease of use, I have not seen another sawhorse product that can match this unit. And best of all, it is made in the good old USA, by Trojan Manufacturing in Portland Oregon.
I would highly recommend these units to contractors and home users alike.

I'm a residential contractor, mainly into remodeling. I use a compact truck and trailer to haul my tools and materials. Space is at a premium. I've tried a few types of portable horses and came to the conclusion that these leg sections are the best on the market. Super strong, light weight, space savers and a snap to operate. I'm writing this review just before I order 6 more pair. 4 pair of the 37" and 2 more pair of the 27". I use them for my mitre saw station, cutting table and scaffolding.

The best saw horse. I have been on a mission for the best horse and have tried about fifteen other types/brands. these take the cake.

You can use a 8 ft 2x4 as a top chord and use as a trim paint rack.
Full sheet of ply wide or long.
Cut throught the 2x4 too much? chuck it put another one, 2x6 whatever
Scraps from the pile or in the back of the truck? Use for horse...
If you hesitate and look at other sawhorses, you're wrong! I like and use both heights for different operations.

I purchased the Trojan horses based on the favorable reviews of others here on Amazon, and I'm glad I did. The design of these saw horses is ingeniously simple. They took only a few minutes to assemble, and are extremely stable and strong. These saw horses are available in 2 heights...27 inch and 35-inch. I opted for the smaller size, which I believe would be somewhat more female-friendly (smaller reach required). It is the perfect working height for me. And if I need it taller, I can switch out the 2x4 for a 2x6 or 2x8 and get the additional height I need.

Beyond the fact that this is an excellent product, it is made in the USA by the fine people at Trojan Tools. And if you have a product question, don't be surprised if the president of the company (Jeff) personally responds.

They may seem a little pricey but once you've used them you'll see how well designed and made they are. I cannot think of a way to damage them. I also like the way you can easily change the 2x top to any lengtyh without any tools. I'll be prurchasing 2 more pairs within the month.

These items are top of the line. Extremely durable. Support a lot of weight. Easy to assemble. Easy to take apart. Take any length board. I bought a set of two and loved them so much that I ordered another set. The only complaint is the slow Amazon shipping. It took forever to get each set and I'm not sure why.

I don't use sawhorses very often so I wanted a design that was easy to put together and take apart to stow. Since I don't use them often, I didn't want to pay too much either. I am a Mechanical Designer myself so I appreciate a good design. These are well engineered with the proper strenght so they are not overly heavy, easy to assemble and work well.
They are perfect for what I wanted. The only thing negetive I can say is that when I bought them, they were about $40 a pair (early August) but now I noticed two months later, they went up in price to about $60/pair. That's 50% increase. And, of course, you need two sets to make two sawhorses which means $120 bucks. If they were that price when I got mine, I think I would have gotten the brackets that are available for $10 a pair and made some out of 2x4's. Too bad. A local timberframer turned me on to these kickbutt sawhorses. I've had a ridiculous amount of large timbers on a pair of these and they just laughed at me. They store small but depending on the board you clamp up, can be very large, and they are very stable and will last forever probably, which justifies the price in my eyes.

these rock! strong as a tank, small and portable. make a sawhorse any size, limited only by the 2x4's or 2x6's, etc, that you have on hand. In a pinch 2 pieces of 3/4" material like trim boards or plywood work, too. I just bought 2 more!

As a battle-hardened Iraq war Veteran, I have had the displeasure of losing both of my legs and some of my lower pelvis due to various IEDs and tripping over my shoelaces too many times. That said, I couldn't be more excited when I opened the boxes containing my new Trojan sawhorses to find that they are perfect for people of my stature!

Measuring a little over two feet high, there is absolutely no need to use my "Wallace and Gromit" style leg-walking machine I purchased on Amazon three years ago as I saw away at boards and the occasional drum-stick from the comfort of the floor in my mom's garage. It is as though Trojan made these stands specifically for holding things as small as pencils (as the attached photo clearly shows), yet durable enough to stack on several hundred sheets of plywood, and then standing upon them. But I can't do that.



It's such a good thing that I'm not 6' 3, because then I would experience loads of back-pain bending over to cut/rest work-pieces at such a low level. If I were that tall, I would hypothetically have no use for this and would probably have my legs surgically removed out of sheer joy for use of these stands. They go well with my Dewalt portable table saw and grand piano which I sawed the legs off of (with the help of the stands!)
