Great 'Bone Sound, July 16, 2003

I'm not as familiar with "Trombone for Two" as I am with
"Trombone Sound" (tracks 11-23). TS features soloists Kai Winding, Carl Fontana, Wayne Andre and Dick Lieb on bass trombone. There is also a three piece (piano, bass, drum)
rhythm section. The ensemble work is clean, and tight; the four part harmony is smooth and rich. The solos were shared equally . All players showed great range and had fine tonal quality. This album was originally performed around 1954. A must for those who like good trombone performance and sound.

Wonderful selections and two of the greatest trombone players ever. I can't read or do anything else but listen when this CD is playing. I would, however, have to say this about all the other J&K CD's I have.
