When you work with wire for jewelry, there are a lot of cuts. This item makes the cleanest, neatest, closest cuts ever! Money well spent.

Not only are these the best cutters I've ever had, with a TRUE flush cut, but the customer service is FABULOUS. I had a student snag my brand new pair when I wasn't watching and she used them to cut memory wire. Sure, I'd told the class that they were great cutters, and had brought them in along with my other personal tools to show them what was out on the market, but GAH! I thought that was an expensive week of use, but emailed the company asking for help -- they responded within minutes and I could NOT be happier.

I must say that previous to having in my hand the Tronex Model 7223, I did have a very good pair of flush cutters, but this Tronex model 7223 is soooo excellent in cutting to the tiniest detail in wire jewelry. I am so pleased with them, and they are worth every bit their price and give my wire jewelry pieces a professional look. If you want to do excellent work, invest in the very best of tools - these are a must for wireworkers.

I have been making jewelry for about 14 years. I had and still do use Lindstrom cutters for some applications, however I have to have my Tronex cutters. They allow me to get into tighter spaces, they cut very easily and smoothly. I love them!

This is an expensive cutter, but if you work with fine wire a lot and need to get into narrow spaces, it could be worth the cost. It is very comfortable and works well, as do the accompanying pliers. I recommend this brand.

Buy these cutters you will be happy you did.They cut through wire like a hot knife through butter.

These cutters are worth the price (an arm and a leg). They make my jewelry look even more professional and are a pleasure to use. Wish I had found them 10 years ago.

Purchased as gift for Graduate Student in Metal Arts. On first attempt to use cutting a very narrow gauge memory wire commonly used in jewelry making the cutting edges of the tool were damaged after making only 2 cuts. There was a nick in the cutter edge where cuts were made. Called Tronex who advised that these cutters can only be used on very softest of wire materials such as silver. Tronex advised to ship cutters back and they would attempt to repair. Upon receipt they advised that cutters were not repairable and replaced with another pair that was cosmetically unsaleable as new product.

Buyers should beware that cutters are only designed for very soft metal wires. This needs to be highlighted and spelled out more clearly in product description. My sense was that this was not the first call Tronex had received on this issue. For $50 a pair I expected a better range of performance from this product.

I believe Tronex makes a good product and did stand by their product. If you buy this Model 7223 be aware of it's limitations.
