Product Description

The traditional Trophy Bodhran drum provides the vital pulse of Celtic music even in modern times. Play the Bodhran with a double beater with one hand producing complex rhythms while the other hand adds tonal expression by muting or applying tension to the inside surface of the drum's head. The Trophy Bodhran Set includes a pair of nicely crafted Bodhrans in 2 sizes for rhythmically complex patterns.

These arrived quickly and in excellent condition although the lacquer on the wood needs some time to off-gas as it smells as if it just came off the production line. It is important to note that this came with only ONE tipper/stick....not the two in the picture.

I wanted the 18" Bodhran, simple not fancy. the set of two was only $15 more so I went with it. The drums have a good tone, they're pegged, not tunable, but that's exactly what I expected. And the 14" is available if I get an accidental duet.

These bodhrans are worth the money. These are not professional models, but very good for someone wanting to learn to play bodhran or for someone just wanting to casually play. They re well made, and sound good. These are not tuneable.

I recieved these drums within the delivery time frame, one after the other. I got a drum and a stick in each box.

These are not tuneable nor are they spectacular quality; they are perfect for me to practice on.

The skin in real and the sound is authentic.

This is a good deal for the price. Took them to festivals and there are still holding strong. Thanks for taking care of me.

I saw a young fellow playing "He That Would Valient Be," on YouTube, with a Bodhran, and thought it would be fun for the kids. The Irish/Scottish music is beautiful and drums are cool. There are on line lessons if they are willing to make the effort. Free lessons too! I might try it!

Looked on youtube for a video that showed how to make this sound good and it worked. Carefully saw the cross bars out, which are lame and not needed. Then sand the skin. Then use electrical tape around corner edge, overlapping an inch or so onto the face of the drum. Sound is improved incredibly.
