Great beginning instrument,

I have used Flutophones in my music classroom with second graders for at least seven years. They are very durable as I have used the same ones for all of those years, washing them (in my dishwasher at home) between users. The raised finger holes make it easy for their little fingers to cover them. The notes are very easy to learn and the instrument is easy to play. A perfect choice for a first instrument for your music classroom or for your child. This is much easier than a recorder to play.

This is the exact model flutophone that my son's school sells for them to use in music class. He has already learned several songs on it, and loves it. Good beginner instrument.

I wanted an inexpensive way to introduce my kids to music, so I bought 3 of these for them. They are simple enough to use, I just wish that some simple songs were included with the fingering chart. That would have increased the eagerness to learn the notes. I found some online eventually. Fun for the price.

I bought two of these for my 2 2-year-old grandchildren, boy and girl. They are well made and sturdy to withstand preschool play. Age 2 is too young to be able to use the holes to play music. The children figured out how to blow on them to make noise. Better than whistles.

I gave flutophones to my sisters and their families for Christmas. We all loved the nostalgia of them and playing them through the rest of the holiday. They were delivered in a timely fashion and were exactly what I had hoped.

It seems like nice quality. My 3 year old and 20 month old broke the red reed off in a week. My wife superglued it back on and it seems to be working fine. My three year old loves it.
