I bought The Trophy Wife based its recommendation as a great beach read and, on a recent vacation, it proved to be just that. The plot was complex enough to hold my interest and the characters were well developed. The ending was truly a surprise. I must comment however, on the typos as mentioned by a previous reviewer - they were frequent and distracting. There were so many mistakes that I began to wonder if they were made purposely to throw the reader off track as to the true identity of "Diana Diamond" (what serious mystery writer would allow publishing of such a poorly edited book!). If you plan to buy it, I recommend waiting for the paperback edition.

When I read a review of this book I ran out and purchased it immediately. What a disapointment- the writing style is so simplistic- there are so many typographical errors- wasn't there an editor, or did they just use spellcheck? As for the plot, predictable, predictable, predicatable. We are all familiar with trophy wives- nothing learned here. I believe the writer should maintain the fictitious authorship - they wouldn't want to tarnish their reputation. Thumbs down.

Everyone seems suspect in the kidnapping of Emily Childs, and Diamond keeps you guessing throughout this suspenseful novel. A surprising (but fitting) ending will leave readers satisfied (and wondering who Diana Diamond really is!)
