Great book,

This review is from: Tropic of Fear (Nancy Drew & Hardy Boys Super Mysteries #14) (Paperback)
I loved this book. It was interesting to see how Joe reacted to when he thought that Frank was dead. I thought it was rather understated.

In this Nancy Drew/ Hardy Boys mystery, Frank and Joe are tracking down art theives in Hawaii. They surprisingly find Nancy Drew on vacation there with her best friends Bess and George. This is a fast paced high action book that every mystery lover should read.

Carolyn Keen's books are very well-done mysteries for younger audiences, but as you get older they get a little dull. Still, Carolyn Keen is very good at composing mysteries; she balances out the mystery well with good pacing, multiple threads that tie in together, and interesting concepts. I guess even as you get older, you can learn a few bits of trivia from the Nancy Drew series. The characterizations, however, are fairly stereotypical. (In other words, don't read this series for character development.)
The Super Mysteries are somewhat more mature than the original Nancy Drew series, in that there's a lot more danger present. The characters are kidnapped and threatened in this book, quite a different pace from the original series and refreshing. This is a very fast-paced book, smooth action, and classicly well-done mystery from Carolyn Keen.

Fun Series,
This review is from: Tropic of Fear (Nancy Drew & Hardy Boys Super Mysteries #14) (Paperback)
I can't complain about this series. I enjoyed everyone of them several times. My mom even reads them. It is a great concept to have them work together. It would be fun to see a new tv series based on these books.

I have never read this book. It sound okay. The telling of what happens needs to be more exciting though. If you have ever read the Nancy Drew or the Buffy the Vampire Slayer or the Nancy Drew Hardy Boys Super Mysteries series you know that death is a thing that happens often.
