Book Description

A quirky new collection by New York Times bestselling author Tim Dorsey. In the tradition of Pineapple Grenade and The Riptide Ultra-Glide, a peculiar new volume of odds and ends from the world of everyone's favorite Florida psychopath—Serge Storms!

Among the flotsam and jetsam of Dorsey's twisted universe:

A never-before-published Serge Storms short story that places the iconic antihero in one of Florida's oldest (and most remote) little towns.

A classic travel feature in London's The Guardian detailing how you can explore Florida's most offbeat hidden corners like a true native. It seems Serge's reputation has spread across the pond!

An exclusive teaser chapter from January 2014's Tiger Shrimp Tango, the next installment in the never-ending adventures of Serge Storms.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Man Who Knows His Mind December 18, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
First, a thank you to the author for introducing Serge to me! Thank you, too, for writing such a great intro and providing it for free.

As a fairly voracious reader, I can tell you that even at the generally discounted electronic prices, it can quickly become a hefty investment. (It was my husband, who has reluctantly, and painfully, moved boxes and boxes of books to new homes over the years who actually bought my Kindle. I suspect that it was not to save money as much as to save his back.) So I truly appreciate being able to sample a new author before buying. And while I can only speak for myself, I would say that probably eight out of ten times I purchase a book by the author. And I will definitely be purchasing from this author.

There are two GREAT reasons to download and read this brief book. The first is Serge's thoughts on buying guns and cold pills. A riff so hilarious I could barely read it without laughing wildly out loud. The second is an amazing miniature tour guide to travelling in the Sunshine State. Priceless- and I WILL be taking it on my next visit.

So there you have it. Something fun and something useful. You just can't go wrong.

5.0 out of 5 stars A LITTLE TASTE OF SERGE December 22, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Great short story incorporating at bit of Florida history with our great tour guide, Serge and his buddy, Coleman. As with all Tim Dorsey books - WARNING - if you read it in public, you may get funny looks while you're sitting there laughing out loud

Serge is a great character--easy to laugh with and follow his thinking as warped as it may be. Super escapism.

Serge continues to entertain. If you're a fan, you'll need no convincing. If you've never read a Serge Storms novel, approach with an open mind and a willingness to let your moral compass swing a bit wild for a while.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tropical Fun October 10, 2014

Tim Dorsey does it again with Serge weaving another scenic tour through Florida. What I love about all of Dorsey's books is the way he weaves facts and an awesome scenic tour through Florida with his wacky characters that remind you of people you have known. Tim is the ultimate story teller and historian of Florida. I have met the man several times and he's as vibrant as his characters. That is why I give this book five stars. His books are like potato chips: you can't read just one and once you start you have to finish it.

As a fan of Dorsey and Serge I was disappointed when the story was only a few pages and then a preview of the next book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dorsey, At His Usual Best April 27, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
If you are a Tim Dorsey fan, you will enjoy this short story. If you haven't read Dorsey before, probably not the best place to start.
I own every Dorsey book written, including the "follow along" photo tome, as well as a Serge Disciples t-shirt which I proudly wear, so I see every Dorsey book as a 5-star. Serge and Coleman keep me LOL so hard and so often. Mr. Dorsey has brought much joy to my life. On second thought, go ahead an make this your 1st Dorsey read, you will laugh!!
