This review is from: Tros of Samothrace 6: The Purple Pirate (Paperback)
The adventures of Tros of Samothrace have been my favorite historical fantasies for more than forty years, and I have wished for the last twenty that someone would publish new hardbound editions. The Puple Pirate, in which Tros serves as Cleopatra's admiral, is my favorite volume, even though it is the dangling end of an unfinished series. Unfortunately, Leonaur's edition faithfully reproduces all the typos and production errors of their original text, and then adds a goodly number of their own. It is like driving over a badly potholed road at high speed in a good car. It is so disappointing that I have donated my copy to the local library, hoping that someone not knowing how much less the book is than it ought to be will find it good to read.
