I don't know what's with that other guy. Has he never heard recordings from the sixties before?! So the recording quality is not state of the art. Are we here to boogie or are we here to whine? Boo Hoo, Sister Sue. We're here to BOOGIE! Where else can you get texas roadhouse boogie? the Texas Jewboys? Try to find one of their albums, why don't you. I saw these guys live a couple of years ago. The first set was killer. So what if the band was sloppy drunk by the second set. They were supposed to be.

I'm not sure what's up with these recordings. I've had three of them now, two from amazon and one from another seller. Why don't these guys do decent sound recordings? They sound like someone went into a bar on friday night and turned on a tape recorder. They are terrible! I own over 1500 cd's and this is by a long shot the worst recording quality i've ever heard. The recordings are tinny and distorted, with tons of midrange, and even some distortion! Whoever made these recordings needs to get an ear! The songs themselves are good if you like Commander Cody. The music is what you would expect from this band.

I also don't know what's with the first guy. There's only one or two recordings on here that are low quality but I think those were done live. Most of the tracks are studio cuts straight off earlier albums. That's one of the great things about this type of music, though - it doesn't have to be a perfect recording to still swing.

Yeah, that first guy misses the point with CC and LPA. These guys epitomized the hippie stoner country/rocknrollers of the 70's. These guys were the real deal, partied hard and always delivered the goods. Unlike the phony country rock posers that the Eagles, Poco and the like turned into, LPA had the chops and the songs and for my money were vastly underrated and overlooked. Probably didn't kiss enuff asses or played the PR game the way the others did. Man, I miss these guys always a great time when they played in my area. Like Billy C always said I ain't ever had TOO MUCH FUN!
