4.0 out of 5 stars Basic
All three classic board-type games are converted over to the GBA in a straightforward manner with no extra bells and wistles. Connect Four is the only two-player game, the others are one-player only.

The graphics aren't great but still look nice for the GBA. It's a little hard to see the pieces in Trouble and Perfection, though. Connect Four is pretty easy...

This gamepack contains three classic board games on one gameboy cartridge, which seems like a great bargain, but you are better off getting the actual board games. In the game called, Trouble you try to get your pieces into the home area by popping a dice roll inside a dome. All you do in this game is press the "A" button. No other interaction is required as the game automatically moves your player pieces for you. All you do is press "A" all the time- even a monkey can do this. In the game called, Perfection you try to fit 25 different shaped pieces into a game board with shaped slots, if all pieces are not in before a clock hits zero, you lose the game. Very simple concept, difficult game and no replay value. In the game, Connect Four you try to get four of your colored chips in row, either vertical, horizantal or diagnal. This is the only good game, the CPU is challenging and the game has replay value.

So why didn't I like this game pack? Here are the reasons

Cons:

-very little player interaction, the games almost

play themselves.

-no game enhancements, or cool animations. The graphics are

photo realistic, but have no animations.

-pathetic sound effects, consisting of *beeps* and *blops*

-no game options. It would of been nice to adjust the rules of the games.

-boring gameplay, when a game has no fun features other than pressing the "A" button it is not even a game anymore.

-Connect Four is the best game in the pack, but it plays at

a very slow pace

Pros:

+photo realistic graphics

+Connect Four game is fun

3.0 out of 5 stars Three classic games from the 70s, April 26, 2006

This contains three games I used to play as a child in the 70s. Connect 4 is pretty much the same as the game. I find that I beat the 'easy' setting every time and almost always come to a draw on the 'hard' setting, I'll have to practice more.

I loved Perfection as a child, but I can't play it on GBA because the pieces are too small for me to distinguish certain of the pieces from the other.

My favorite of the three is Trouble. I'm getting addicted. The only problem I have is that in the single player game, the 'home base' is in the upper corner, where the slanted perspective of the board makes it a little difficult to distinguish the spaces. I wish the 'home base' was in one of the lower corners

Overall the game is great. Perfection takes some time getting used to navigating the pieces around but Connect Four and Trouble are fun and easy.

I have had this game for about a month, and I am quite pleased with it. There are three classic games to choose from, Connect Four, Perfection, and Trouble. On a scale of one to five, here is how I rate the different aspects of this game:

Gameplay: 5

The games are fun and addicting!

Music: 4

The music is happy and bouncy!

Entertainment: 5

I like the games a lot, and could play for hours on these!

This game is not one that would entertain you nonstop, but it is quite fun to play, and can provide you with a bit of a mental challenge. If you like board games, but don't often have someone to play them with, then this is a good game for you!

When I purchased this, I thought it was the regular board game. I read the label wrong (dah). But this is for a gameboy, so I gave it away to a child who has a gameboy. Of course they love it.
