Book Description

January 18, 2008
But the final kicker comes when her hairdresser goes on vacation to Fiji, leaving Ruth to look like Dickens' Miss Havisham. A crazy kaleidoscope of characters such as the uptight gallery owner, Napoleon Prinn; half-baked Dimple Dent, writer of fortune cookie wisdom; Alva Hernandez, octogenarian newspaper boy, and the amorous town caterer, Monk, add to the chaos in the shadow of Finny's nose until Ruth finds herself in the ultimate do-or-die situation.

...one of the most delightful reads I've had in a long time.... it's definitely worth the investment if you want to relax and be entertained with an amusing and tangled mystery.

This is a fun book. The characters are entertaining and engaging. Too bad the series ended before its time when Heartsong Presents cancelled its mystery book division. Luckily the author wrote a prologue on her website

This review is from: Trouble Up Finny's Nose: Finny's Nose Mystery Series #1 (Heartsong Presents Mysteries #7) (Mass Market Paperback)
This is a great read and it is hard to know who the culprit is in this book untill the last. I don't think I ever knew what Finny's nose was supposed to be but I have another in the series so I am sure I will understand it better. I am thinking that this is just a big hill in the town.

The only thing I didn't like about it is the novel that Ruth found of her husband's after his dealth and it was all written into this book. It seemed as through I was reading 2 books within each other. It maybe just me but I don't like that, I just didn't read the part that was supposed to be the novel written by her husband.

Dana is a great writter and I do love her books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Two stories in one book entertwined, January 27, 2009
By
This review is from: Trouble Up Finny's Nose: Finny's Nose Mystery Series #1 (Heartsong Presents Mysteries #7) (Mass Market Paperback)
When I started Trouble up Finny's Nose, I did not realize I would get a story within a story. Ruth will keep you trying to keep up with her all through the story as event after events develop. You go from finding a body in a fountain murdered, to an Art Gallery Owner murdered, and so many twists and turns it amazes you. There are things uncovered that people think are hid. When you get to end of story you are amazed to find out who done it. I enjoyed the story Ruth finds as well as the story details with mystery at every turn. A book you won't be able to lay down.
