This new part to the Ben 10 series has kinda disappointed me. The quality of the animation went down, but as long as it's funny I will still watch it.

I've been watching the Ben 10 series with my kids since the first season. They were quite excited when the new season started but soon became disillusioned. The first episode dispenses with all the supporting characters (Gwen, Kevin etc) and replaces them with an alien side-kick whose role is unclear. Is he a fish-out-of-water alien who will find his feet later in the season? Is he the iron that pulls an insufferably arrogant Ben out of the fire. The writers don't seem to know or care. The animation and design is noticeably poorer. The story lines and character development thin. Not good.

My son loved the show and the shows that we bought. Quality isn't that nice, but works all the same. It said that you can download and I didn't see any place were it could be downloaded at all

This season is interesting. Ben is finally (supposedly) out on his own, but not quite. He now has a new sidekick. The production values of the animation seem to have been lowered. Not near as good a quality as the last few seasons (ultrmatrix). They have also changed his personality to that more of a 12 yr old then a 16+ teenager he is supposed to be. the last few seasons, Ben, really grew up. In this one, he has reverted. I personally do not like that move by the studio, nor does my 8 yr old. He watches these on the day they come out, then goes back to replaying last season. They are trying to hit two target audiences by the looks of it, and missing the target with both. Hopefully they reboot this season and get back to the high quality work they did the last two seasons.

Following the events of "Ultimate Alien", the team of Ben, Gwen, and Kevin split apart as Gwen leaves for college, and Kevin follows her. To provide Ben with someone to watch his back, Grandpa Max assigns rookie Plumber officer "Rook" as Ben's new partner. As Rook is new to Earth, fish out of water hijinxs occur as Ben resists needing a partner.

The thing that I really enjoy about this series is that in addition to continuing out of the events of "Alien Force/Ultimate Alien", Omniverse also fills in some of the events that occurred in the 5 year gap between "Ben 10" and "Alien Force".

As a prior reviewer indicated, Ben does seem to have regressed a point. Ben quarrels with Rook quite a bit, which is reminiscent of his relationship with Kevin. The animation style is also more "cartoonish" than in "Alien Force/Ultimate Alien", looking more like the first series. I also kind of miss the option of transforming into Ultimate Alien forms, a feature the latest omnitrix lacks.

Still, I have enjoyed this series, particularly the new villains. Ben's numerous fights against Khyber's transforming alien hound negate his main advantage of switching between aliens. Malware is also a high level baddie. The cameos from past characters are also interesting.

I plan on continuing to follow this series. I am wondering how many more episodes/series there will be before we start calling Ben "Ben 10,000".

I gave this series 5stars because all 3 of my kids will sit down and watch it without arguing. They are 8(boy) 14(girl) and 18(boy/man)
