This review is from: The Trouble-Making Finch: POEMS (Illinois Poetry) (Paperback)
The poetry of Len Roberts blams your gut with its wrenching honesty, lapidary orderliness, and reverberating realism. He takes the emotional fallout from childhood to maturity and compresses it into ingots of radioactively radiating musical magic. He bears rereading. He bares the unbearable and makes it sing.

Roberts knows how to listen to language. He allows imagery to unravel truth amid the flak and detritus of ordinary existence. He symphonizes despair; he sacralizes the profane. He is accessible, energizing, unforgettable.

Worth a look!
