5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book
This book is a wonderful book for anyone age 8 to age 13. It is very funny and a great mystery. It's a great mystery because you would never guess the ending. In fact, the whole series is great I would recomend this book to all my friends.

Bruce Hale encourages violance and judgemental attitudes. As a teacher, there is no way I would allow my students to read this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hilarious reading, September 23, 2007
This review is from: Trouble Is My Beeswax: A Chet Gecko Mystery (Paperback)
Well, I don't know about that Ratnose teacher up there who said he wouldn't encourage his students to read these books. They're hilarious and it's fun to remember all the clues to solve the crime. Sure, there are characters who aren't very nice but that's life. Should we all just read books where everyone is sugary sweet to each other and life is perfect? I think that was called The Stepford Wives, wasn't it?? No thanks. I'm a mom who recommends Chet Gecko books to everyone. Go Chet Go!! (And you go too - to pick up your own copy today! . . . oh, and no I'm not related to or paid by Bruce Hale.)

The students in my class love this series. I have read the books myself and find them really entertaining. I find Chet Gecko very funny and creative. The kids love the witty banter and it makes a great read aloud. Keep up the good work Bruce Hale!! You have kids reading and excited about what they are reading!
