4.0 out of 5 stars Wish i knew of these guys back in the late 90's, November 6, 2007

Spooky Tuesday is one of those bands that you know are talented but you don't really expect to see them achieve much. Let's be honest. I purchased this cd from a local christian bookstore for pretty much $2. It took me a long while to listen to this, But when i finally decided to hear what was on this cd, I was mostly blown away. I love the melodic sound this band seems to hone in their music. If you wanna know what this band sounds like, Think Gin Blossoms crossed with Sixpence None The Richer crossed with The Cranberries crossed with 90's R.E.M. I also notice the folk elements in Spooky Tuesday's music as well and i must say, It does line up well with their style of music. The lyrics sound quite personal at times and the vocals all fit along well with the songs. Aside from a few weak songs toward the end of this album, This is mostly a great if wrongfully overlooked album. This album was made in the late-90's [1999 to be exact] amidst the oversaturation of forgettable boy bands, Nu-Metal bands, Young female singers who look good but can't sing worth a penny, and just straight up horrible pop music. At this point, In the late-90's, Music was starting to take a downturn and right now, In 2007, Music [Mainstream music mostly] is at its all-time worst. The best songs on the album are ''Problem With Pain'' [Best song on the album and is a must-hear], ''Breaking Out'', ''Your Love Is Like'', ''Take Over Me'', and ''I Can Feel Your Love''. It's sad this beautiful melodic album just eased on by with no notice and instantly became forgotten. If you like melodic rock, This album is surely for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Still Keepin' it Real, July 20, 2000

Spooky Tuesday comes back at us with their third album, this one just as good as the first two. Vocals are tighter than ever, and that distinctive sound that diehard Tuesday fans have loved for some 5 years now is right back in your face. An excellent mix of folk, rock and great lyrics. A must have!

5.0 out of 5 stars Red hot modern music with thoughtful lyrics, September 10, 1999

A winsom mix of modern rock music and folk tinged tunes that stick in your head. The lyrics run from a grey mood to upbeat but are anything but banal. Well worth the listen.
